Our purple friend that fills our imagination, Figment, has officially arrived at EPCOT for meet and greets with guests. Upon his arrival there has been new merchandise released. This fun loving character is sure to steal the hearts of those guests who are just meeting him for the first time.
A new piece of attire that is not always found in the parks is leggings, however Figment has brought us soft purple leggings with a design of himself at the top. No outfit is complete while heading to the parks without a pair of Mickey Ears! A brand new pair has been released into the parks with the inspiration of Figment. One ear is his head and horns while the other consists of his body and wings. They are too adorable to not add to the collection!
Also adding to the merchandise line are t-shirts and sweatshirts that have been created with the saying “Imagination is a Blast!” also featuring Spaceship Earth, the iconic symbol of EPCOT.
Figment was introduced to the parks in 1982, when the park first opened. Did you know that Figment was originally created to be green? He also was supposed to be an attraction inside of Disneyland back in the 1970’s about a professor, Professor Marvel and his little friend that was not named at the time. The attraction was set to show creativity and curiosity.
The current attraction inside EPCOT inside Walt Disney World Resorts, Journey Into Imagination with Figment, helps guests explore their five senses while being guided through Imagination Institute with the bouncy purple dinosaur.
Previously there was a specialty popcorn buck of Figment that was released, which held hour long lines and sold out consistently. Figment has a following of guests that adore his fun energy.
