A few months ago it was announced that there would be an amazing line up of entertainment gracing the stage of the Disney Wish, the newest ship to the Disney Cruise Line fleet. One of the shows will be “Disney The Little Mermaid” – an original take on the renowned Walt Disney Animation Studios film. Fast forward a few months and details and concept art has been released!
Disney Cruise Line teamed up with Broadway talent to develop this all new adaptation of the Disney classic exclusively for the Disney Wish. This show will include innovative theatrical design, special effects, beautiful choreography, and a reimagined script and musical score that will amaze guests of all ages!

One of most iconic scenes will include, “Under the Sea,” which will be the shows largest production number. Complete with all the elements to really dazzle guests. The show will exhibit cutting edge puppetry of countless sea creatures. Two famous friends will be making their appearance, Sebastian and Flounder will dance and sing along as well!
Throughout the show, playful scenic designs and state-of-the-art video projections will transform the Walt Disney Theatre into a 360-degree undersea environment. The next iconic scene will be, “Kiss the Girl;” which will be lead by none other than Sebastian. Through the special effects and lighting guests will be visually transported into the scene. A fun effect will be Ariel’s inner voice performing while her actual voice is still trapped with the evil sea witch.

Lastly, another iconic character will grade the stage with her famous ballad, “Poor Unfortunate Souls.” Ursula the sea witch will have a more soulful twist to this classic song filled with confidence and glamour. During this scene she will really demand the stage…..
