There are always exciting events happening inside the parks. From attraction re-imaginations, firework shows, parades, and now even the return of the longest running nighttime spectacular, “Fantasmic!” At Disneyland Park.
The amazing show returned to the parks on May 24, 2024 with only a two day announcement prior to its return. The show is returning to the Rivers of America where it was paused in July 2023 due to a mishap with Maleficent.

The show will have “refreshed moments in the iconic show that features live performances, special effects, and innovative technology” as stated by Disney Destinations. If you have not seen the spectacular, the plot is that you are on a journey through the imagination of Mickey Mouse. During the adventure guests experience scenes from some Disney Animation films like “Peter Pan,” “Sleeping Beauty,” and even “Tangled.”
Even though Maleficent stopped the show last year, she is back for the new revamped version and in a brand new way! Also making a return is the “thrilling shipboard confrontation” that happens between Peter Pan and Captain Hook.
To view the show, the parks ask that guests begin queueing for the performance no sooner than two hours before the first show.
Also returning with the nighttime spectacular will be the Dining Packages. When the Dining Package is reserved, there are reserved seating for those guests. There are three dining options that will off the Dining Package at 60 days prior to guests visiting the parks. Blue Bayou will offer a Fantasmic! Lunch and Dinner Dining Package. River Belle Terrace will have a Fantasmic! Brunch, Dinner, and a Premium Dinner Dining Package. The final option is Rancho del Zocalo.
While both Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resort offer the Fantasmic! Nighttime Spectacular, they are each different in their own unique way. Be sure to complete your visit to either destination with this music and character filled performance!
