I just returned home from an amazing trip to Beaches Ocho Rios in Jamaica. This family-friendly, all-inclusive resort has it all. From yummy food to a 27,000 square foot water park this resort is sure to please the whole family!
Beaches Ocho Rios is comprised of three separate villages that house different room categories. There is the Caribbean, Beachfront Greek or Oceanfront French Villages. There is a room category for all budgets and needs with the overall resort containing 222 rooms and suites. Families of 5 or less are able to stay in one room while families over 5 have options of two rooms, connecting rooms, or adjacent rooms. The resort sits on 22 acres of land and beach. It is the perfect size for a family to hang together or spread out enjoying separate areas. Plus, there is so much to do at the resort as well as local attractions too!
Are you hungry? If so, Beaches Ocho Rios has you covered! There are food choices for every taste bud with a total of seven restaurant options available. Bayside Restaurant is your international buffet opened for breakfast, lunch and dinner. BBQ Park and Bella Napoli is a casual, ocean view dining with pizzas, jerk chicken, and burgers. This area is great for your lunch or late night snack (open until 2 a.m.). Neptunes is a mediterranean a la carte outdoor dining experience that will please everyone. You have to try the fantastic Italian food at The Venetian, or some French Cuisine at La Parisienne. Finally, make sure to enjoy a fabulous fresh to order crepe at Josephine’s Creperie! No matter what you want to eat, there are several dining options to experience while staying at Beaches Ocho Rios..
It can get hot in Jamaica, cool off in the pools, ocean or water park all located on site at Beaches Ocho Rios. There are five pools, two whirlpools, a 27,000 square foot Pirates Island Water Park with slides and activities for all ages, and two beach areas. Water Sports are also included in your stay! Have fun kayaking, windsurfing, battle boarding, snorkeling, riding the banana boat, and more! All water areas are all stunning, fun, and great for any type of water relaxation or activity you may want to do. Plus, while the kids are occupied with water activities, the adults may enjoy relaxing at the beach or enjoying the swim up pool bar. Don’t forget those drinks are included!
Kids will never be bored at Beaches Ocho Rios! Besides the fabulous water park and activities mentioned above, kids also have their own kids’ camps. These camps are age appropriate for children ages 17 and under, all with their own separate facilities: infants (0-2 yrs), toddlers (3-4 yrs), kids (5-7 yrs), pre-adolescent (8-10 yrs), tweens (11-14 yrs), and teens (15-17 yrs). Each kid camp will ensure your child(ren) have a great time with kids similar in age with enthusiastic coordinators. There are also Autism Specialists on site. At night, there is also Club Liquid, a fun tween and teen dance club. Finally, kids may game up in the Xbox Lounge.
It doesn’t matter if you want entertainment during the day or at night, you will find it at Beaches Ocho Rios. During the day, employees bring fun activities to the pool area for all ages from dance contests to trivia. Each day also is themed to bring fun during the day and night such as Jamaica Day and Caribbean Beach Party. Adults have additional entertainment from fun DJs at the outside pool bar and nighttime musical entertainment at the Piano Bar. Want fun? Beaches Ocho Rios has it!
As a bonus, Beaches Resorts partner with Sesame Street to have fun events from an exclusive breakfast with Zoe, Cookie Monster, Super Grover, Bert and Ernie, and Elmo. Sesame Street characters participate in activities with the kids, and host a parade.
Need relaxation? You may also add on spa experiences at Red Lane Spa! Some options include massages and facials. When you book any spa experience, you will feel full relaxation. I highly recommend doing this as it is a unique experience that regenerates your entire mind and body.
Are you a golfer? If so, Beaches Ocho Rios is located near Sandals Golf and Country Club, a challenging 18-hole, par 71 course. Green fees are included, and there is a free one hour golf clinic for children on select days. Make sure to ask your travel agent more about this fantastic golf course.
