If you have been to the Walt Disney Resort and visited Epcot in the last 18 months, you would have noticed tons of construction taking place for new Epcot renovations. Throughout the year, international festivals have become a very large part of Epcot. The Disney Imagineers are creating new spaces that will bring these events into the heart of the park in the new World Celebration neighborhood.

The new concept art recently released has brought these ideas to life. World Celebration will be a beautiful hub filled with different gardens with tons of seating and shade. Each garden will have its own identity and they will change along with the festivals throughout the year. But at night could we expect anything else than greatness? As we have seen over the past year the gorgeous beacons of light at each park icon. Spaceship Earth is absolutely stunning when it is lit up! The gardens will have lighting that immerses you in a nighttime experience as well as change with the seasons.

These gardens will surround CommuniCore Hall and CommuniCore Plaza. This will be a multi use facility and outdoor even space; which will bring the park’s international festivals to the center of Epcot. CommuniCore Plaza will have the flexibility to host intimate musical performances as well as large-scale concerts. There will also be a variety of experiences taking place here including: art, live music, food and more. Right nearby will be a new locations to meet Mickey & Friends and other Disney favorites.

The coolest part of these Epcot renovations is that these changes are inspired by Epcot’s original design and vibe. This includes the timeless triangular geometry most prominently featured in Spaceship Earth. The original Epcot logo will also be at the center of this space paying homage to Walt’s original ideas!
