The month of April holds many celebrations around the world. This however is the Foodie Guide to Earth Month, which is celebrated for the entire month of April. At Walt Disney World there are so many other things to celebrate as well. The Anniversary of Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park, the anniversary of Disney’s “The Lion King,” and now we get to add this foodie guide for the celebration of Earth Month. Let’s get started!
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park holds Earth Month in such high regards as it is truly the reason for the park. The food and beverages that will be available for purchase during April will not disappoint your taste buds.
Creature Comforts, the Starbucks location, will be offering an adorable Honeycomb Mousse. With a brownie layer, the white chocolate honeycomb towers high for a home for the cute little sugar bees. The Dawa Bar will be offering a new beverage named the Wazi Waze. This drink is the perfect mixture of Parrot Bay Coconut Rum, Bols Blue Curacao, sour mix, and pineapple juice. This sounds like the perfect concoction for a warm April day. The Nomad Lounge, a hidden gem, will also be offering a new beverage. The Pachyderm and the Pollinator is crafted of Cruxland Gin, bitters, and soda water, then topped with honey simple syrup and a slice of lemon.
An adorable Elephant Cupcake will make its way to Pizzafari and Restaurantosaurus for the month. The elephant is molded of white chocolate and dusted with gold which sits upon a graham cracker cupcake with pineapple filling.
If you are looking for some refueling options that are not sweets, check out Terra Treats and Tiffins Restaurant. Terra Treats will be offering a plant based menu option of Roasted Mushroom and Leeks Pizza. Tiffins Restaurant will also have a plant based option of Zucchini Carpaccio that is made with zucchini, tomatoes, pistachios, olives, raisins, plant based feta, and sweet potato.
If Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park did not make it to your list this adventure, you can also find an Earth Month option at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge. The Mara will be offering a Raindrop Tart for the month. The tart is crafted of chocolate cake that is covered with white chocolate mousse, passion fruit gel, and vanilla cheesecake. There is also a pistachio crumb base. Another option outside of the park is at DIsney Springs Amorette’s Patisserie. Here guests will find the most adorable petit cake. The Plant in the Boot Petit Cake is designed after “Wall-E.” It is made with layers of carrot cake, a cream cheese mousse, and pineapple jam. On the front of the cake there is an edible image of Wall E and Eve, and on top is the iconic boot and plant.
