Happy Earth month! What better way to celebrate it than with Disney! Between Disneyland and Walt Disney World Resorts, you are guaranteed to find many ways to enjoy and participate in the Earth Day festivities.
In Disneyland, cast members have joined together to collaborate on works of art that will be displayed at Stage 17. These one of a kind pieces are transformed from waste found in the areas where cast members work. Guests can take part in voting on their favorite display.
Joining in on the fun at Disneyland, for two exclusive days will be Kristen Kish. Kristen is a chef from National Geographic’s Restaurants at the End of the World. She will be performing cooking demonstrations on April 22nd and April 23rd during the Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival. The festival will take place through April 25, 2023 with other local and famous chefs appearing for demonstrations as well.
Across the country at Walt Disney World Resorts, there are many things to celebrate this month. First we are excited for the 25th Anniversary of Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park on Earth Day! In part of celebrating the magic of Disney, guests will find limited edition merchandise, along with character interactions that are often not seen in the parks. When entering the theme park, be sure to stop by the National Geographic photo spot. This area was designed for “Magic of Disney’s Animal Kingdom '' and the release of its second season, which premiered on Disney+ in January 2023. The show features cast from the parks, and the care they provide for the animals found at not only Disney’s Animal Kingdom, but also The Seas Pavilion in EPCOT.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom park offers special tours where you can learn about how the elephants or rhinos are cared for each day. During these tours guests will also learn about the conservation efforts that are put into place to help save these majestic creatures.
