It is no surprise that Aulani comes at a more deluxe price point than other resorts in Hawaii... so is it worth that extra cost for your family?
The biggest thing to know about this property is that it is a full resort, not just a hotel. There is always something to do, see or a character to meet. However, it doesn’t feel overwhelmingly Disney like the parks. They built this resort to showcase the spirit of Hawaii. 90% of the artwork is authentic Hawaiian, Menehunes can be found throughout the resort and there are even some tours you can do to learn more about Hawaii!
One of the biggest factors that can make the price worth it, is Aunty's Beach House. This kids club is amazing, and you can drop your kids (4-12) off for an hour and a half at a time. They will do activities, play games, play in the “backyard” and even their favorite characters might just show up!
While not included the spa on property cannot be beat. They have a full hydrotherapy garden with plunge pools, showers, a reflexology path and the best treatments you could possibly have.
There are multiple pools, a kid’s water playground, massive lazy river, cove beach, infinity pool and adult’s only hot tub. Even 2 waterslides that the whole family can enjoy together.
If get tired of the water activities, head to the community hall! Where you can check out an iPad that will make the whole resort come to life. With different ways to help “Aunty” you will experience islands rise from the koi pond, drums come to life, the magic is limitless! Plus if all of that in your day wasn’t enough, Uncle will be waiting for you by the fire pit in the evenings with a local legend to share.
Overall, I absolutely loved our stay at Aulani and think that the price point is completely worth what you get during your stay.
