Back in 2019, Disney Cruise Line announced that they would be introducing the new private port in the Bahamas. Disney’s Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point will be welcoming guests beginning in 2024! With more details announced, guests are sure to love the sights, sounds, and entertainment waiting for them when they disembark their cruise ship and onto this brand new location! Every location on the island uses the language of the Lucayans for its names, while the buildings used the artistry and culture as inspiration for the design. Talk about an immersive experience.
When guests first disembark they will be welcomed into Mabrika Cove, or the welcome area of the island. Mabrika means welcome in Taino, the Lucayan language. Next guests will set sights on Goombay Culture Center. Goombay is the traditional style of music in the Bahamas. This pavilion is designed to be eye-catching with bright colors and with sounds of music to make you move.
When visiting another country, most guests love a souvenir to remember their trip by. Treasures of Eleuthera will have just that. Just like at Disney’s Castaway Cay, Disney’s Lookout Cay will also have a separate section of island, secluded from the kids and designated as adults only. Serenity Bay, named the same as on Disney’s Castaway Cay, is still the 18 years+ location that the Disney adults love! It will also have its own private eatery and bar location exclusive to that area.
