Are you ready for a brand new adventure? Disney Cruise Line has announced the opening of their new exclusive island, Lighthouse Point. The newest destination added to the Disney Cruise Line itinerary lineup is located on the tropical island of Eleuthera in The Bahamas, just east of Nassau. Lighthouse Point is designed to tell a story of Bahamian history, art, and culture. You can expect to see this port of call added to select sailings of Summer 2024 itineraries.

Disney Cruise Line, as well as all of the Walt Disney Company, has been committed to conversation. This island paradise is no exception to their commitment to the environment. Almost all of the energy used to power the island will be from solar power energy. Parts of the new build have been carefully structured to not disturb the land and wildlife, including the pier and walkways.
Another main objective of all Disney properties is to provide families with memories that last a lifetime. The possibilities are endless on this Bahamian island. Lighthouse Point will have areas of entertainment for everyone. Family beaches are located near dining and shopping. There will also be a water play structure featuring slides, water fountains, and more!
Lighthouse Point will be no different than Castaway Cay when it comes to the kids club! The area will be for children ages 3 to 12, and themed after Disney’s “The Little Mermaid.” The splash pad will be covered with shades, which I love the idea of, and have an exclusive dining area only for the kids club. Once you sign the littles into the designated kids area, you can head to the adults exclusive part of the island for a little rest and relaxation.
Once at the adults only area, you will find a long stretch of beautiful white sand, blue water, and lounge chairs with umbrellas. There is also a dedicated dining located for the area, so no need to go anywhere else. Need more luxury? 6 private cabanas will be available for rent, which offer more shade and privacy.
