Walt Disney World is home to some of my favorite date night spots, so on our most recent trip I knew my husband and I had to add a special night to celebrate our recent anniversary. The Boardwalk area of Disney is one of my favorite options, so we began our stay by checking in to the gorgeous Yacht Club, one of three Deluxe Disney resorts in this area. This resort has such a relaxing vibe, with stately accommodations. We began our evening by strolling around the property just taking it all in. There are some beautiful beach areas around the lake to enjoy sitting on the swings together watching the boats and sunset.

We took a Friendship boat across the lake to The Boardwalk for an incredible dinner at Flying Fish. This restaurant has some of the best seafood at Disney, and is a must if you are in the area! Be sure to ask your travel advisor to make reservations for you here.
Dinner begins with some refreshing towelettes that are presented on a stone that you place in the scented water before using. What a nice way to begin a meal! The bread service was delicious, and we decided on the Seafood Pearl Pasta and Potato-wrapped Red Snapper for our entree. The food was delicious, and the company even better. If you aren’t up for a finer dining experience on your Boardwalk date night, I also love ordering a slice of pizza at the pizza window and sitting outside to enjoy the beautiful weather and the excitement of the Boardwalk when it comes alive at night.

The Abracadabar is a perfect spot to either start your evening with some delicious drinks, or end your night after dinner. According to Disney, you “Travel back in time to the golden age of magic as you step inside this curious cocktail lounge. Formerly the stomping grounds for famous magicians, local illusionists and the loveliest of magician’s assistants, AbracadaBar gives interested onlookers and aficionados of alcoholic beverages alike a glimpse—and perhaps a taste—of another time and place. According to Boardwalk lore, prestidigitators would gather here after nearly every show, often staying up all night as they attempted to out-charm each other with extraordinary tricks before gathering at the bar to conjure up new cocktails. But then, just as soon as it had appeared, the secret lounge vanished into thin air, never to be seen again… until today!
Back in the spotlight now at Disney’s Boardwalk, AbracadaBar has re-opened its doors, giving Guests like you a peek at an era long since passed—from its enchanted show posters and mystifying mirrors to vintage props and tricks—all while savoring some of the bar’s signature specialties.” This is such a fun spot to spend time, especially if you love the back stories Disney creates like I do!

If you haven’t had dessert yet, a stop at the Ice Cream Parlor is a perfect way to end your evening on a sweet note. And coming soon to The Boardwalk will be Cake Bake, a sure way to fulfill your sweet tooth!

The Boardwalk comes alive at night, with an atmosphere reminiscent of turn of the century boardwalks such as Coney Island and Atlantic City, complete with street performers sure to make you laugh and watch in amazement as they perform stunts, magic tricks, and bring such a wonderful vibe to the evening. We always love watching them perform and are sure to make time for this every time we are here.
The evening isn’t over yet! Head over to Jellyrolls, Disney’s dueling piano bar with some of the most talented performers I’ve seen. You are sure to love singing along with favorites and enjoy watching them take requests…they know every song, it’s amazing! If you are still up for more fun, head next door to the Atlantic Dance Hall to dance the rest of the night away!
When you add in shopping, a view of the Epcot Fireworks, a margarita stand, and more, I know you will love a Boardwalk date night on your next Disney vacation! Honestly, there’s enough to do here for several nights! Even better, a stay at Disney’s Boardwalk or Yacht and Beach Club makes it even more of an experience! Be sure to ask your travel advisor for pricing at these amazing resorts!
