Disney's Animal Kingdom New Menus

Throughout the resorts and parks there have been some major changes when it comes to the menus. Disney’s Magic Kingdom always has seasonal changes for their menus, the most recent being for Halloween. Three of the resorts have also had some menu changes in the past few weeks. Now there are quite a few restaurants and kiosks inside Disney’s Animal Kingdom that are introducing new menu items.

Animal Kingdom New Menus Pongu Pongu

Starting with a hearty breakfast to help fuel yourself for your adventure filled day is always a great idea. The new menu item of Stuffed Pancake Sandwich is layered with sausage, egg, cheese, and the optional guava paste. The new sandwich is actually located at multiple locations throughout the park, which means no matter where you head for rope drop you are likely able to purchase one on the way. One location that will offer the Stuffed Pancake Sandwich, Pongu Pongu located inside Pandora-The World of Avatar, will also be offering a new eye catching Cinnamon Roll.

If you have headed towards Africa inside the park there is the Kusafiri Coffee Shop & Bakery. There will be four new menu items between the breakfast options and lunchtime snacks. For breakfast there is now an Egg and Cheese Croissant Sandwich with Tomato Pepper Relish that is served with a side of potato barrels. There is also a Breakfast Totchos with Eggs, Bacon, and Cheese. For the new lunchtime snack menu guests will find a new plant based menu item of IMPOSSIBLE Gatsby. Disney Destinations described this as “a pita pocket with plant based picadillo, tomato-pepper relish, and crispy potato sticks.” The final new item on this menu is The Harissa Chicken Wrap. The spinach tortilla wrap is stuffed with harissa chicken salad and an avocado spread then served with a side of housemade chips.

While continuing the trek in Africa, the Harambe Market also is offering a new menu for guests to try out. Three new rice bowls have been added to the menu; Shrimp Rice Bowl, Chicken Rice Bowl, and finally a Chicken and Shrimp Rice Bowl. The kids menu also received a rice bowl option of Shrimp and Rice Bowl that is served with an orange. Looking for a handheld option? The Beef and Lamb Kofta Pita would be a wonderful choice served with a side of housemade chips. The pita is also served as a planted based option of IMPOSSIBLE Kofta Pita that is crafted with a plant based aioli and chermoula. The final new fueling option to the menu is the Harambe Salad with Chicken. It consists of quinoa, chickpeas, black-eyed peas, grilled corn and chicken or you can substitute for shrimp. Everyone deserves a little dessert after such an amazing meal. Try the new Mango Passion Fruit Cheesecake!

Making your way back into Discovery Island, Flame Tree Barbecue is one of my favorite quick service options inside Disney’s Animal Kingdom. The new item of the IMPOSSIBLE Burnt Ends served with a side of french fries and coleslaw is now available. Pizzafari, also a delicious option, will have a new plant based menu item. Plant Based Italian Sausage and will be served with a side salad. A new side option, Antipasto Side Salad has also made its way onto the menu.

Last but certainly not least is the new DOLE Whip options at Tamu Tamu Refreshments inside Africa. Four, yes four, new snacks have joined in on the fun! The DOLE Whip Orange Soda Float that is topped with some strawberry syrup is first up. Next is the DOLE Whip Float that is served with pineapple juice. Finally are for the 21 and over crowd, DOLE Whip Float with Parrot Bay Coconut Rum and the DOLE Whip Hard Cider Float. Which are you excited to try?
