The Disneyland Resort 70th Celebration is just around the corner! We have already received quite a few bits of information regarding all of the special events, character outfits, decorations around the park, and so much more. Disney Destinations has now announced even more that is coming to the park for the Disneyland Park 70th Celebration.
Up first, a new accessory! There will be an exclusive 70th Celebration MagicBand+ available for purchase. The MagicBand+, any style not just the 70th version, will have interactions with five different surprises throughout the different areas of the park. One in each land; Adventureland, Tomorrowland, Frontierland, Fantasyland, and of course Main Street U.S.A. The bands will also perform during the events “Paint the Night,” “Wondrous Journey, " "Tapestry of Happiness,” and “World of Color.” Guests can expect to see the lights twinkle and feel the haptics that follow along during the performances on their MagicBand+. Be sure to charge them to experience these features. If the band battery is dead, the band will still scan however it will not light up or provide the light vibrations.

There are so many design options for the MagicBand+ technology. From plain colors, Disney Princesses, snacks, and even Star Wars, there is something for every guest. Bands can be purchased in advance online, at any Disneyland Resort, Downtown Disney District, or even inside the park.
The next announcement is the brand new walking tour! The A Story of Celebration: 70th Anniversary Guided Tour will be two hours in length and will take guests throughout the park to experience the history of Disneyland Park. This includes the attractions that were included in the opening day of the park. To access this guided tour, reservations will be required and will begin booking on April 24, 2025. This tour is not included in the park ticket, and will be an additional cost. Valid admission to Disneyland Park and Theme Park Reservations are required.
A celebration in the park brings new Disney PhotoPass Magic Shots and Photo Lens! This will begin in both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park on May 16th.
A second interactive entertainment option is coming to California Adventure Park. Before “World of Color Happiness!” kicks off each evening, the Disneyland app will give guests the choice of four Emotions (Envy, Disgust, Anger, and Sadness) from “Inside Out” to be featured in scenes of the nighttime spectacular.
The fun-filled 70th Celebration has not begun yet, but the plans are well underway and will transform the parks!
