Have you ever thought of taking a trip to the “Happiest Place on Earth” with your toddlers but then stopped to think if it would be worth it? A trip to Disneyland can be a considerable cost so I’m sure most people want to make sure that there is going to be plenty to do for everyone. As a travel agent and a mom who took my 3 daughters to the parks from the time they were merely months old, I am here to say it is definitely a great idea!

Disneyland has some of the best rides available that do not have height requirements. That is always the first thing to look at when deciding what rides would be appropriate. There are currently over 30 rides or attractions available at Disneyland park that have no height restrictions and are in each of the lands. Fantasyland has the most and is a very popular area for the young ones! I always suggest planning to spend a lot of time in this area when you take your smaller children. It is here that you can find the following:
Back behind Fantasyland is the recently reopened Mickeys Toontown. I was recently able to go and check this all out and I must say that is is incredible. Everything in this land is themed as if you are actually in a cartoon. One of my favorite activities in Toontown is Goofy’s How-to-Play Yard which is an interactive play area. When the little ones are ready to move around and exert some of their energy, this is a great place to do that.
A trip to Disneyland never seems complete to me without a stop in Adventureland. The Jungle Cruise is an all ages boat ride through the Disney “jungle” that is filled with jokes for all ages that keeps everyone entertained. Around the corner is Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room. This is a great indoor show that helps you take a break from the California heat, rest your feet and entertain the little one’s with a classic singing show presented by birds!

Disneyland is a family park and was created with all ages in mind. With all of the available activities available for toddlers including taking a ride on a horse on a carousel, enjoying a boat ride in the jungle, through a pirate adventure or through different lands with dolls, enjoying some shows, riding a train and meeting some characters, you will see why I recommend taking your children of all ages. Bonus-kids under 3 do not have tickets so it’s a great time to start getting them used to it!
