While we round out 2024 and prepare for the 2025 year, Disneyland Resort has a lot of fun celebrations planned! This year is a huge milestone for Disneyland Resort as they prepare to celebrate their 70th anniversary! There is a separate blog for this topic, so keep an eye out for all of the fun and exciting adventures to come! But for now, other adventures await and they have been laid out for the entire year.
Starting off the year strong we have Lunar New Year at Disney California Adventure Park. This event will run from January 17 through February 16, 2025 for the year of the snake. Mickey and Minnie will debut new outfits to represent a traditional Korean attire. Each day there will be live entertainment and inspired menus throughout selected dining locations and marketplace kitchens. Also on select days there will be “Mulan’s Lunar New Year Procession.”
Also, on January 24, 2025, Disney California Adventure Park will host the Anaheim Duck Day where select players from the National Hockey League team make an appearance for a cavalcade through the park. Downtown Disney District will also be home to the Anaheim Duck Day Overtime zone where guests can experience activities, entertainment, and even some photo opportunities.
The next adventure planned is Celebrate Gospel at Disneyland Park. For two days only, February 8 and February 15, community choirs join forces with well known artists for this annual gospel concert.
Following close behind the last Celebrate Gospel concert is the Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival! This popular festival brings guests from around the world and will run from February 28 through April 21, 2025. This year two of the ten marketplaces will have new themes! There will be culinary experiences that will need to be booked in advance if you wish to participate, and the classic version of Soarin’ Over California returns.
For the Star Wars franchise fans, Season of the Force will be at Disneyland Park from March 28th through May 11th. Projections, music, and even fireworks on select nights will be inside Star Wars: Galaxy Edge.
A little time lapse happens and it’s finally Halloween in the parks! Beginning August 22nd, guests can experience the magic of Halloween inside Disneyland Park. Select attractions will feature holiday overlays, and themed food will be available to purchase. Also on August 22nd, Plaza de la Familia begins at Disney California Adventure Park. Here guests can experience the magic of “Coco” and the celebration of Dia de los Muertos. While Plaza de la Familia runs through November 2nd, the Halloween festivities end on Halloween, October 31st.
The final season celebrated in the parks is the Holidays at Disneyland Resort! Beginning November 17, 2025 and continuing the joyous celebration through the new year with the final day of January 7, 2026, guests will find all things winter holiday themed! From decorations, food, entertainment, and even merchandise, there is something for everyone. Disney Festival of the Holidays returns to Disney California Adventure Park will also have the specialty menus, entertainment options, and activities!
