Disney Wish Preview Sailing - Day 2 Recap

Marvelous Mouse Travels was invited by Disney to experience a special 3-night preview sailing aboard the Disney Wish. Guests were mostly travel agents, content winners and the media.

Today we woke up to a warm and sunny day at sea. One of the best things about cruising is stepping out onto your balcony first thing in the morning and inhaling the intoxicating ocean air.

We headed up the adults only Quiet Cove Cafe to grab some coffee and sat out in comfy deck chairs staring at the ocean. We are loving the Wish logo on certain beverages!

Breakfast was at Marceline‘s Market where fresh, made-to-order omelettes were delivered to our table. And what’s breakfast without Mickey waffles? We loved the variety of different parfaits and smoothies available in adorable little individual glasses.

We made a quick stop at the new Hero Zone to see families dueling it out at The Incredibles Incredi-Games, an inflatable obstacle course, which was a hoot to watch!

Since this was a special preview sailing of the Wish, there were special “Open Mouses” available for us travel agents to get to know the new areas of the ship. Today we were able to tour a variety of cabin types available on the Wish, including the amazing suite inside one of the ship’s funnels!

All of that walking worked up an appetite! We had an delicious lunch, sitting down in one of the main dining rooms, 1923. A little hidden secret, there is usually one main dining room open for lunch every day of your sailing. It’s a treat to have such a fancy, multi-course lunch!

Then we toured the spa, fitness center and both movie theaters on board. Disney has thought of everything, you will never be bored at sea!

After a work break, it was cocktail time! The Enchanted Sword was a small cocktail bar tucked right off the Grand Hall. The Wish definitely features more places to grab a cocktail than any of the other Disney ships.

We went up to The Rose, an adults only bar and lounge exits outside of the adult dining area, featuring Palo and the new Enchante. We ordered the famous cocktail, the rose and look out over the ocean as we chatted about our amazing day.

Dinner was back at 1923, but this time we sat on the Walt Disney side of the restaurant, whereat at lunch we sat on the Roy Disney side. This was our favorite meal so far of the trip. Salads, pasta, steaks, lamb chops, and again we ordered all of the desserts. We were stuffed and all was delicious.

Night two of our voyage was Pirate Night!

After dinner we headed up to the top deck of the ship for a party fit for Jack Sparrow. The cast sang and danced to some old school hits and the night was capped with FIREWORKS AT SEA! A deck-wide dance party ensured and we boogied till we dropped.

What an epic second day aboard the Wish! Stay tuned for Day 3, which includes a stop at Castaway Cay!
