Yes, it is correct that meet and greets had returned quite some time ago but in a limited capacity. Previously guests were able to meet there favorite characters through social distancing measures with no touching or autographs available. But that will be changing!
As early as April 18th, traditional character greetings will be reintroduced to all US locations! These will include Disneyland and Walt Disney World Resorts, as well as aboard Disney Cruise Line and at Aulani Resort in Hawaii. This means that guests will be able to hug, receive an autograph, laugh and chat with all of their favorite friends! Over the last two years there has been a gradual and intentional approach for the manner in which these meet and greets were handled all following suit with health abs safety protocols. Now with the exciting news of this changing guests can prepare for their upcoming vacations with plans to meet these characters. Not all locations will open immediately, but there will be reopening phases throughout the spring and early summer.
Again as part of the 50th Anniversary celebration at Walt Disney World, many events and celebrations have been returning or scheduled to return. These include shows such as “Mickey’s Magical Friendship Faire” and “Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular,” along with the Disney “Festival of Fantasy” Parade and new experiences like “Disney Adventure Friends Cavalcade.” But not only is Walt Disney World returning shows, but Disneyland will have some coming back as well! These will include some nighttime spectaculars, “World of Color,” “Disneyland Forever,” “Fantasmic!” and “Main Street Electrical Parade,” celebrating its own 50th anniversary. Be sure to follow along as more details are released regarding the process of these changes and the schedules in which each interaction will be returning.
