This year Disneyland will feature a special 3-day event full of fun and characters! “Disney Junior & Friends Playdate” will kick off on August 18, 2023 inside Disney California Adventure Park for one day only. This special, limited time event will showcase characters, music, parades, and a dance party!
The Playdate Party Parade will feature 13 characters from the Disney Junior Channel. Mickey Mouse, Doc McStuffins, Sofia the First, Vampirina, Winnie the Pooh, and more will be there! Next will be a stage show performance with characters and a brand new premier of the short series “Playdate with Winnie the Pooh.”
Making its return for 2023, “Alice’s Wonderland Bakery Unbirthday Party” will invite young guests to create their own magical cupcake with this instructional class and stage show. This special event is based on the television series on Disney Junior and is generally held during the Disney California Adventure International Food and Wine Festival.
Also during Disney Junior & Friends Playdate will be a new photo opportunity inside Hollywood Backlot. Guests will be encouraged to snap a photo with the “Spidey and his Amazing Friends” backdrop!
For the following two days, the events will move to the Downtown Disney District where guests will be able to experience different events. Marceline’s Confectionary will have special treats available for purchase during these two days, and I know they will be just as cute as all of the other specialty treats! Also located in the Downtown Disney District will be a special Star Wars themed photo opportunity called “Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures.” Be sure to check the Disneyland App for the exact location of this special feature.
While there are more events coming for these three days, the official schedule of events has not been released for Disney Junior & Friends Playdate. Valid entry and park reservations are required to take part of the Disney California Adventure Park portion of this special event.
