Disney Health and Safety Updates

Healthy and Safety updates for Adventures by Disney and National Geographic Expeditions have continued to change and evolve. Proof of full vaccination is required for all guests traveling on an Adventures by Disney or National Geographic Expeditions trip. Guests will no longer be able to use a negative COVID-19 PCR test result as an alternative. All guests traveling at May 31 will receive a SeaMail with information regarding vaccines.

Face coverings are now optional for guests when traveling to CDC Level 1-3 countries with Adventures by Disney or National Geographic Expeditions. Also, physical distancing is no longer required unless the specific vendor or local regulations  require it.  Health and safety protocols, including face coverings and physical distancing, may still be required for CDC Level 4 countries. Adventures by Disney and National Geographic with guidance from the CDC accept the following vaccine types: Pfizer, Moderna, Johnson & Johnson, AstraZeneca, Covishield, Novavax, Sinopharm BBIBP-CorV (VeroCell), Sinovac-CoronaVac, and Covavaxin (Bharat Biotech).

The CDC definition of fully vaccinated is as follows:

• a single-dose of an accepted 1-dose vaccine
• the second dose of an accepted 2-dose vaccine
• the full series of an active (not placebo) COVID-19 vaccine in the US-based AstraZeneca or Novavax COVID-19 vaccine trials
• The second dose of any “mix and match” combination of accepted COVID-19 vaccines (administered at least 17 days apart)

Specific destinations and their local laws may have different requirements and definitions of what constitutes full vaccination. This may include a booster dose, as well as additional wait time after the full series of vaccine doses. Guests who have not received the booster may be prohibited from traveling to certain destinations. Most importantly guests need to keep checking the Know Before You Go page for Adventures by Disney or National Geographic Expeditions to view the updated Guest Health & Safety Protocols.
