Disney Extras

By:  Marvelous Mouse Travels

Walt Disney World is more than the theme parks! Yes there’s resorts and restaurants but there are also a lot of other fun activities that can be done. I can go on and on but I wanted to highlight a few.

Let’s start with one many already know, Disney Springs. It is a common misconception that this is a ticketed location but it is not. Disney Springs is a great option for a relaxing day not spent in the parks. You can find many Disney and other themed shops, as well as a wide range of different cuisine restaurants and lounges. Many of which are extremely well known.

Disney also has two water parks, Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach. These are filled with fun and unique aquatic experiences for guests of all ages. These both do require park admission. Please refer to the Disney website for dates and hours of operations as they do change.

Miniature golf is another fun event that guests can take part in. There are two courses Fantasia Gardens located across from the Swan and Dolphins resorts and Winter Summerland located out front of Blizzard Beach. Miniature golf is great for the family and a fun way to spend the afternoon, but there is also the option to play a full 18 hole golf game. Disney has four golf courses guests can make tee times at. These are: Disney’s Magnolia Golf Course, Disney’s Lake Buena Vista, Disney’s Palm Golf Course and Disney’s Oak Trail Golf Course.

Some other forms of entertainment and activity can be found and scheduled through the My Disney Experience App or can be called into the reservations center. Some of these include horseback riding, boat rentals and fishing excursions. Be sure to check with your agent or the Disney website for which activities are available each season and they may change.
