Disney Cruise port arrival times will now be based on your Castaway Club membership tier. A Castaway Club is a guest loyalty program. If you have sailed with Disney Cruise Line before, you are already a part of the club! If you have not sailed, you will automatically be enrolled when you board for your first sailing. This program gives guests rewards for their sailings with the cruise line. The more sailings you have, the more rewards you gain access to. Each sailing, after your first, guests will receive a welcome aboard gift in their cabin. The gift changes from time to time.
The highest tier, Pearl Castaway Club members have completed 25 or more sailings. The next tier down is Platinum which is achieved after 10 completed sailings. Below Platinum, is the Gold Castaway Club which is after 5 completed sailings. And the lowest tier which is earned after your very first sailing.
Also with the Castaway Club, the higher tier you are, the more sailings you have completed, the sooner things become available to you for booking. This includes activities like Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique reservations, speciality dining, and even when you are able to embark the ship for sailing. Previously, all guests had to choose a time that they were going to arrive at port, generally given time frames that guests were able to choose from. These time frames were released to the different Castaway Club tiers on different days. Pearl, the highest tier, is able to choose first and then down the tiers in their respective order.
Disney Cruise port arrival times Line have recently been updated for Pearl Castaway Club Members. Those Pearl members no longer need to select a Port Arrival Time when they complete their check-in 40 days prior to sailing, they will automatically be placed into the first boarding group. All other Castaway Club Members will still have to select their arrival time. Platinum members will be able to do so at 38 days prior to their sailings, Gold Members at 35 days, Silver Members at 33 days, and first time guests at 30 days prior.
