The new Disney Destiny brings heroes and villains to life in new exciting places. Among the ship’s many exciting venues, one standout space is Café Merida. Cafe Merida is a storybook-inspired coffee and specialty drink café themed after Merida from Disney and Pixar’s Brave.
Inspired by the bold Scottish princess who charted her own destiny, Café Merida celebrates courage, independence, and a touch of magic. Around the cafe you will see nods to Merida’s Scottish heritage. From the artwork on the walls to the carpet that surrounds the space. You will even find a nod to Merida’s triplet brothers with the Empire Biscuits placed on the counter. If you round the corner of the cafe you will also find Merida’s family tree as well as a tapestry on the other side.
Located just off the Grand Hall on deck 5, Café Merida provides the perfect spot to relax between shows, port adventures, or family activities. The atmosphere feels both inviting and adventurous, just like Merida herself. This cafe opens at 7am and closes at 10pm. Make sure to use your Disney Cruise Line Navigator app for the most up to date times during your sailing.
Cafe Merida has all of your classic coffee and tea beverages as well as some exclusive options. These include the Highland Frappe, Shortbread Latte, and Islay Smoky Brew to name a few. Like other cafés across the Disney Cruise Line fleet, beverages here are an additional cost, but they are well worth the price. Don’t forget to pick up your coffee punch card to earn a free latte!
