When it comes to all inclusive resorts, there can sometimes be a stigma with the dining quality and options that are offered. While many brands have been able to flip the stigma, none have been able to do it like Sandals Resorts.
Home to 5 Star Global Gourmet, Sandals and Beaches Resorts pride themselves on the quality and variety of dining that they offer, and Sandals Ochi Beach Resort is no exception. With 16 restaurants to choose from during your all inclusive vacation, everyone will find something that they enjoy when dining at Sandals Ochi.
Let’s start with the most important meal of the day! Buffet-style dining is a popular service style when staying at an all inclusive, and Sandals Ochi does offer a delicious breakfast buffet at Vista Gourmet/Sky Terrace. The best way to start the day with a cup of Jamaica Blue Mountain Coffee can only be made better by the stunning views of the ocean from the terrace. If you prefer a more leisurely start to your day, Le Gourmand offers table service dining with elevated favorites like Smoked Salmon Benedict or a Local Breakfast Platter including Jonny Cakes and fried plantains.
You’ll never be without a snack or a meal. As your day continues around the pool or on the beach, lunch is served at a number of locations. While we had a cabana for our day at the pool, which included butler service, we were still able to order from the renowned Jerk Shack. Trust me when I tell you, that while there are many buffet, table service and other quick options for lunch, the Jerk Shack will have you coming back day after day. Jerk chicken, pork or sausage is serviced daily with fish in foil as well. A Festival (traditional fried dumpling) is a necessity to acclimate Kant any of your proteins. After all, you’re in Jamaica ‘Mon!
As the sun goes down at any Sandals Resort, romance is in the air. While the resorts are great for group getaways, they are well known as the place to escape with the one that you love and their restaurants set the stage for a relaxing, intimate end to your day. While some of these restaurants will require reservations (Valentino’s, Kelly’s Dockside, Kimonos and Le Gourmand) getting a table is made easy by heading to the concierge or activity desk in the lobby.
With so many options to choose from, you may be wondering how you could possibly try them all? While at Sandals, you are never limited to the number of visits, items on the menu or charged additional for “gourmet” menu items. So feel free to sample around! Start your evening at Soy Sushi Bar before heading to your reservation at Kelly’s Dockside Over the Water Dining for fresh seafood and Mediterranean Cuisine. Finish your night with a night cap at Tapas on the Riviera or sit back and let the smooth jazz of The Rabbit Hole take you back to the roaring 20’s. Make sure to ask your butler or server for the password before heading over, as you won’t be able to enter without it!
If you are looking to have an extra special night, ask your travel agent about adding a private candlelight beachfront dinner to your stay. Positioned right on the beach, this sweetheart table is the perfect surprise for an anniversary or even the ultimate setting to pop the question. Menu items include many favorites like surf and turf as well as a number of plant based options. Any dietary needs are easily taken care of at Sandals Resorts. Their chefs are ready and more than willing to assist with any allergies or dietary restrictions you may have!
With so many options for dining at Sandals Ochi, we could have dined for weeks, but, unfortunately we were limited to the three nights we had. I can’t wait until my next trip back to continue to explore all of the amazing cuisine options offered.
