What are two of the most important things when deciding on a cruise?? The FOOD and the DRINKS!!! Let’s take a look at some of the dining aboard Royal Caribbean’s Allure of the Seas!!

This is the buffet that is located on Deck 16. It is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The variety for each meal is amazing!! There are eggs, bacon and sausage for those wanted an American Breakfast. There are pancakes, French Toast and Waffles for those looking to get their fill of carbs!! Plus there are cereals, yogurts, fruits, oatmeal and pastries!! There is definitely something for everyone at breakfast!! Lunch included Prime Rib, salads, grilled veggies, and desserts galore!! You can also eat there for dinner (a great choice if you have a long excursion!). We had Grilled Shrimp, Beef & Chicken Patties, hamburgers, Red beans and rice, and ice cream sundaes for dessert!! Definitely so much to choose from even for the pickiest eaters!!
There are 3 main dining rooms onboard Allure of the Seas-Silk, The Grande, & American Icon. You can choose whichever dining room to eat in. The theme of each of the restaurants is different and each one is located on 3 different floors. If you have large parties then the best seating for you would be in Silk or The Grande. Have a party of 2-4, then American Icon is you best bet, especially if you are honeymooning!! They have some great tables in American Icon for privacy.
The food prepared is the same across all 3 dining rooms. Appetizers included French Onion soup, Caesar Salad, fruit and cheese plate and garden, pumpkin soup and shrimp cocktail. Entrees included baked polenta, New York Strip, Fried Chicken, Coq Au Vin and Eggplant Parmesan. Desserts included Key Lime Pie, Carrot Cake, Cheesecake, Molten Lava Cake and Baked Alaska. The first night was a formal night and the rest were casual so make sure to bring those dress up clothes for a great family picture before dinner.
As far as drinks go, they had several wine choices plus you could choose to order a cocktail. If you have a soda package, you will be able to use that package in main dining room. Other options for drinks were tea, coffee and water.
The Park Cafe is located in the Central Park Neighborhood. It is a small but mighty place to get a freshly made salad or a panini or a turkey wrap. There is also choice of fresh soups. Fro breakfast, you can get freshly toasted bagels with specialty cream cheese, breakfast sandwiches, and specialty coffees.
Sorrento’s Pizza is on every Royal Caribbean ship. They have the best pizza on any cruise line!! There are 4 offerings of pizza-cheese, pepperoni, Garden Veggie and Carnivore. Other foods served her are tomato & mozzarella, fried polenta, and olives. This is a perfect place to hit up after the theme parties or a late night snack!!

These food venues are located on the Boardwalk (Deck 6). The Boardwalk Dog House has hot dogs with different toppings. The perfect lunch to have before heading to the Aquatheatre for the Belly Flop competition!! The Donut Shop is across for the Dog House and it is open for breakfast through early lunch!! There are so many flavors of doughnuts, vanilla frosted, cinnamon, chocolate frosted, caramel frosted and more!! The perfect sweet ending to an early lunch!!!
The Wipe Out Cafe has El Loco Mexican cuisine. Nachos were a favorite snack for us as we dined throughout the ship. Also, they have a soft serve ice cream machine in there as well. The Wipe Out Cafe is located right next to the teen hangout (perfect for those hard to please teenagers!). It is only open for lunch to early dinner so make sure to top in and get your nachos as an afternoon snack!!
This Cafe is located on the Promenade across from Sorrento’s!! It has some delicious sandwiches, paninis and wraps for a quick grab and go lunch. There are also some delectable desserts to choose from there as well. This food venue also has a Starbucks for all of your specialty coffee drinks!! (These drinks will an additional charge.) There is also a Starbucks kiosk in the middle of the Promenade as well if the line is too long at Cafe Promenade.
These 2 bars are located on sports deck and the pool deck. They are very similar as they offer all of the premium alcoholic beverages, bottle water, beer and soft drinks. The Pool Bar is located right in the center of the pool deck and the Wipe Out Bar is located between the Flowrider Wave/Boogie board simulators.
This bar was by far my favorite onboard!!! Such an elegant and fun experience!! They have specialty drinks for just this bar and they were so fun. I had a Pretty in Pink while my friends had a chocolate martini, an Old Fashioned, and Cool as a Cumber Margarita!! This bar actually is on an elevator system that gently travels from Central Park to the Promenade. It is a great experience for anyone!!

This Latin inspired bar is located on the Promenade (Deck 5). They have gorgeous Latin decor with golds and blues and reds. They also have a drink called the Cozumel Sunrise and it is the perfect blend of tequila, fruit juices and grenadine. There is also a Guava Margarita that is so delicious. At night this is where you can Salsa dance to your heart’s content while listening to live Salsa music. Seating is plentiful at this bar as well.
The Champagne Bar is also located on the Promenade and it is like stepping into an elegant room in a castle. There are plush couches and small cocktail tables. You can order any drink here but they have special champagnes to choose from here as well. It is the perfect spot to get a pre-dinner cocktail or after dinner martini.
