We now have even more detailed information regarding the Dark Universe! Attractions, food, merchandise, and entertainment options have all been announced. Are you ready to experience the monsters of your childhood like never before?
Universal’s Epic Universe is making every monster loving kid's dreams come true with this new world. Before entering the portal, guests will know they are entering a dark world. The portal coil will crackle which shows “the eternal struggle of science against death” as described in Discover Universal Blog. Upon entering, guests will find themselves in Darkmoor surrounded by a grim cemetery. Darkmoor is the home of all things monsters, this includes the creator of monsters, monsters, monster hunters, and villagers just trying to survive the monsters wandering the area.
Get ready for some thrill with two brand new attractions. The first, Monsters Unchained: The Frankenstein Experiment, takes guests on a new journey as the great-great-great granddaughter of Henry Frankenstein invites you to experience her newest invention. During the attraction, guests will race through the darkness as Dr. Victoria Frankenstein brings monsters back to life and try to tame the monsters that are roaming the village. Some characters you are bound to encounter are Frankenstein, Dracula, Wolfman, the Mummy, and even Ygor, just to name a few.
The second attraction is called Curse of the Werewolf. This attraction is described as a spinning coaster designed for families. On this coaster, guests will encounter Maleva, who is know as the leader of The Guild of Mystics. Maleva was first seen in the 1941 film “The Wolf Man,” but has been transformed to reflect the culture of the guild. Visitors are warned that they “bear the mark of the werewolf” by Maleva, but you continue on the journey through the forest and finally come face to face with the monster.

Throughout the world, guests will also be able to experience meet and greets with characters. Discover Universal Blog has announced that Frankenstein’s Monsters, the Bride of Frankenstein, Ygor, and the Invisible Man will be capturing the hearts of guests.
During all of the excitement guests will need to refuel for more fun. The Burning Blade Tavern and Das Stakehaus will be the place to be! Das Stakehaus is located above the catacombs filled with vampires, but the menu is worth visiting for. Burgers, kebabs, ribs, and more will make it worth your while. The Burning Blade Tavern was set ablaze many years ago by an angry mob, but it doesn’t stop the villagers from returning for the delicious fare. The mill still erupts into flames every 20 minutes, which is such a cool feature!
