The Boardwalk resort is one of the deluxe resorts centrally located directly between Epcot and Hollywood Studios. Once you exit the main lobby you step onto the traditional style Boardwalk and have direct view of the Yacht and Beach club resort which also shares the same walking path to the theme parks. The Boardwalk resort is also a Disney Vacation Club property there are villa options for larger groups or guests looking to have additional amenities in their resort room. Some including washer and dryers and kitchens.
Once you exit the lobby and head out to the wooden traditional style boardwalk guests are whisked away to a whimsical waterfront fair. Along the strip there are carnival style games for the kids as well as stands with some of your favorite seaside treats. Some new enhancements and offerings will be coming to the boardwalk over the next few years.
Coming in 2023, The Cake Bake Shop by Gwendolyn Rogers, a new table service restaurant and bakery will be providing sweet tastings all can enjoy. The menu will have both sweet and savory options along with an afternoon tea service. With this addition the now Boardwalk Bakery will turn into a sandwich shop. Another fun new feature is going to be a new coffee bar with artisanal beverages and quick bites will be available to-go or in newly refreshed seating spaces inside or outdoors right inside the Boardwalk Inn.
Each resort is truly different in its own way through beautiful decor and specialized dining options. The Boardwalk offers many options for different dining cuisines and even a piano bar that recently has reopened! Be sure to make dining reservations for these restaurants ahead of time as a reservation will be needed to enter the resort if you are not a guest staying there. Also, being able to go into Epcot through the World Showcase is a great way to end an evening with a viewing of “Harmonious” a brilliant nighttime spectacle.
