June 13, 2025 was a big day. Not only was it the only Friday the thirteenth in 2025, but it was also Jason Voorhees birthday. Some of you may be asking who Jason Voorhee is. Ch ch ch ha ha ha may help with that. If not, Jason is the main character in the Friday the Thirteenth horror films (think hockey mask wielding a machete). But the information on Jason was just a segue into the newest news!
Universal Halloween Horror Nights announced on Friday, June 13th that Jason Voorhees will have a themed haunted house for the 2025 season. Jason UN1V3RSE is the name of the house and the game is to escape. Starting at Camp Crystal Lake, the summer camp where his legend began, leading you through the deep dark woods and into the eerie shack, Jason is waiting for you.
Jason UN1V3RSE will be at both Universal Studios Hollywood Halloween Horror Nights and Universal Studios Orlando Halloween Horror Nights.
Universal has also released a quick preview of some of the Jason merchandise that will be available for purchase in the parks. So far there is a mug, t-shirt, and a stained-glass décor type piece (it could possibly be a magnet). The mug and t-shirt both have the standard Jason stare-down pose set in the woods, while the stained-glass décor features the shape of a castle with a gargoyle perched on top, the Halloween Horror Nights logo in the center, and a photo of Jason to the left side.
