Celestial Park at Epic Universe

Come one, come all, to learn about the exciting news of the upcoming opening of Epic Universe at Universal Orlando Resort! The announcement was made in August 2019 that there would not only be an expansion of the Universal Parks, but an entirely new park plus we now know there will be three brand new hotels! It was originally set to open in 2023, but was pushed back due to the pandemic. The park and resorts are now set to open in 2025. Discover Universal states that this is the most immersive and innovative park ever built.

We know that the new park and resorts are a few miles away, but there will be a dedicated bus lane to and from the other hotels, plus there will also be parking at the new Epic Universe.

There are five worlds that will make up the new Epic Universe. Each world will be entered through a Mystic Portal, all that are designed in a similar way, but each reflecting the world you are entering in its own way.

When guests enter the parks, they will begin in Celestial Park. The entrance will greet you with emerald gates and a Chronos machine as you enter. “Chronos is this giant machine used to harness the energy of the Universe that powers all of Celestial Park, allowing us to open the portals to other worlds,” as described by executive producer Adam Rivest. Celestial Park will contain most of the main shopping and restaurants in the park, almost like a central meeting area.

While Celestial Park is the common grounds between the other worlds, there will be a few featured attractions throughout the area. The first is a Constellation Carousel! This attraction has a good spin, literally, on the traditional carousel. The Constellation Carousel will spin like a normal carousel, but then the celestial creature seats will also spin 360 degrees! How fun does that sound?

The next attraction in Celestial Park is a new roller coaster! Starfall Racers is like riding on a comet, as described by Universal. The roller coaster will go as fast as 62 mph and reach a height of 133 feet! It is also said that there is a special easter egg on the back of each coaster, but no word on what.

The center of Celestial Park, guests will find Astronomica. This is an interactive water play area.

There will be a ton of food options for those guests visiting Epic Universe. Just inside Celestial Park, guests will be able to find Atlantic and The Blue Dragon Pan-Asian Restaurant. Atlantic Restaurant will be set around Neptune’s Pool and will serve fresh seafood along with surf and turf options. The Blue Dragon Pan-Asian Restaurant will offer a mix of China, Southeast Asia, and Japanese food.

With so many options to choose from, Epic Universe will be the perfect park to allow guests to extend their stay at Universal Studios Orlando and visit for a few more days to experience all of the new attractions, lands, and dining options.
