The month of February kicks off ‘Celebrate Soulfully’ inside the Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resort parks in honor of Black History Month. With special celebrity guests joining the line-up for parades, performances, and even more meet and greets with characters. Let’s find out what we can expect to see inside the parks for the month of February while we ‘Celebrate Soulfully.’

To kick it off, the stunning Tamron Hall will be designated at the Grand Marshall in a fabulous parade at Disney’s Magic Kingdom on February 1, 2025. Tamron Hall is a talk show host and an Emmy-award winning journalist. The parade route runs from Frontierland through the park and down Main Street U.S.A.

Also in the park is the recently opened attraction Tiana’s Bayou Adventure! Be sure to take some time to experience this new attraction with the beloved Princess and her bayou friends!

Taking a stroll through Disney Springs in your down time, there will be artist spotlights for artists such as Marci Swett, Ernest Shaw, and Nneka Jones. There will also be a brand new mural being spotlighted that is designed by Brandon Hill who is from Washington DC.

Heading to EPCOT by monorail or bus, there will be several artists making appearances through mid-February when EPCOT Festival of the Arts concludes. This includes artists selling their work in the booths and even performances at the DISNEY ON BROADWAY Concert Series. The concert series features performers from the Disney Broadway productions of The Lion King and Aladdin

Feeling the beat at Disney’s Animal Kingdom with the Caribbean street party at Discovery Island and then the Tam Tam Drummers of Harambe. All of this musical talent will be in the parks during the month of Celebrate Soulfully, but there is always quite a few musical talents performing inside the park.

I know we mentioned earlier about the new Tiana’s Bayou Adventure attraction, but did you know that you can meet Tiana in the park? You can also meet the live action Ariel from “The Little Mermaid” at Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Asha from “Wish” inside of EPCOT.

On the West Coast, Disneyland will also be Celebrating Soulfully for Black History Month. While the parks do not have the DISNEY ON BROADWAY Concert Series, they do offer “Celebrate Gospel” at the Fantasyland Theater inside Disneyland Park. Community Choirs and award-winning artists come together on two days (February 8 and 15) to perform for guests.

There is also a special window display inside Disney California Adventure Park to honor the first black Walt Disney Animator, Disney Legend Floyd Norman.

If you head over to Pixar Place Hotel on select days, Joe Gardner from Pixar Animation Studios “Soul” will be playing smooth jazz tunes. It’s a great place to take a mid-day break from the parks if you can plan it right.

The fabulous Sip & Sonder is a Black woman-owned brand that features Caribbean- inspired small bites, signature lattes, treats, and other drinks. Also featuring special menus for Celebrate Soulfully will be Ballast Point Brewing Co., Jazz Kitchen Coastal Grill & Patio, and finally Lovepop, the greeting card store.

Celebrate Soulfully is a major part of the parks each and every February. If you do not have your trip planned for this year, next year is just a hop, skip, and a jump away.
