Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort is simply the best. At every turn you’ll find fun decorations, yummy treats and specialty merchandise.
One of my favorite areas of the park any time of year is Cars Land, but at Halloween Time, it really takes the cake!
When you enter Cars Land at Halloween Time, you’ll notice the welcome sign has been transformed to Happy Haul-O-Ween, making a great photo spot. A PhotoPass Cast Member will be there, ready to snap your photo.

As you cruise into town on Route 66, you’ll spy spooky faces watching you from the streetlights made of cones, tires and other car parts. At the end of the street, you’ll run into Town Hall - home to the Traffic Court, Fire Department and Sheriff’s Office… where Monster eyes are always watching!
Visiting Cars Land both during the day and at night are a must. At night, the backdrop to Radiator Springs Racers lights up in purple and green, bringing some extra Halloween magic to the area.
Cars Land is home to 3 attractions – Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree, Luigi’s Rockin’ Roadsters and Radiator Springs Racers.
During Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort, you can experience Halloween fun on these attractions.
Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree becomes Mater’s Graveyard JamBOOree. Tractor-Treatin’ is fun when you twirl around to Mater’s creepy country tunes like Monster Truck Smash. It’s the same beloved ride, just with some Halloween tunes to swing along to.
Luigi’s Rockin’ Roadsters becomes Luigi’s Honkin’ Haul-O-Ween during this festive time of year. Jump in a car and enjoy a choreographed dance to songs such as “Terror-antella”, “The Chop Top of Carsoli” and more.
Radiator Springs Racers doesn’t have a particular Halloween themed add on or songs, but, as previously mentioned, if you ride it at night, you’ll see Ornament Valley lite up in purple and green lights for a fun racing backdrop.
When I said that Radiator Springs does Halloween Time well, I meant it! You’ll even get to see your fav Cars character dressed up and ready to take a photo with you.
Jump in line, they move fast, and be sure to polish your tires before the PhotoPass Cast Member snaps your photo with your fav Cars characters.
No visit to Radiator Springs would be complete without a stop at the Cozy Cone Motel for some delicious snacks. During Halloween Time, you can find yummy specialty options at some of Radiator Springs best drive-ins. Here’s a look at this year’s options.
Candy Corn Churro – A fun twist on a Halloween staple, the orange and yellow sugar-covered churro is topped with vanilla icing and candy corn! You’ll find this at Cozy Cone Motel 1.
Chili Cone Queso – See what they did there? The Mac & Cheese Cone is a popular year-round item, but during Halloween it’s kicked up a notch with spicy red pepper cheese sauce and topped with chile-cheese puff crumbs. Cruise on over to Cozy Cone Motel 3 for this must try.
Spicy Chicken and Fries – Over at Flo’s V8 Café you’ll want to order the Spicy Chicken and Fries. This delicious flavor mash of mango-habanero sauce tossed chicken tenders drizzled with ranch dressing and steak fries will be sure to toot anyone’s horn.
Cars Land is one of my top reasons to visit the Disneyland Resort year-round, but during Halloween Time Disney really goes above and beyond to turn Radiator Springs into a spooky, fun town that really gets you into the Halloween spirit.
