Carnival Jubilee Naming Ceremony

Carnival Jubilee

Everyone knows that Carnival knows fun.  And boy did they prove that on February 24, 2024 when they celebrated the naming of their newest ship, the Carnival Jubilee.

Marvelous Mouse Travels was honored with the privilege of attending this special event.  We were able to tour this beautiful ship, enjoy lunch and celebrate!  As a part of the naming ceremony tradition a godmother is always named and Carnival might have chosen the most perfect godmother for what just might be their most fun and beautiful ship yet.  Gwen Stefani was onboard to christen the ship and officially name her “Jubilee”.

Other special guests in attendance were the mayor of Galveston, Carnival’s chief culinary officer Emeril Lagasse, Christine Duffy and many more travel industry leaders.  After the ceremony concluded

Gwen put on the show of a lifetime entertaining ceremony guests.

The show and ceremony were absolutely fabulous but Jubilee still stole the show.  This ship is a true work of art.  The attention to detail is impeccable.  Some of the most impressive features that really stand out are:

  • Havana Cabana cabins with their own private lounge and pool deck.  These staterooms are only available for guests ages 12 and up.
  • Loft 19 relaxation lounge complete with cabanas and private pool
  • Heroes Lounge: a lounge area dedicated to military veterans
  • The Ultimate Playground: a family fun zone complete with mini golf, BOLT roller coaster, splash pad and waterslides
  • Shaq’s Big Chicken: a delicious quick service food option (available at an additional cost)
  • Grand Central: breathtaking common area complete with floor to ceiling monitors that roll away to reveal a wall of windows
  • Currents: A beautiful area that makes you feel like you are underwater thanks to six oversized LED “windows”

Carnival Jubilee is the first Carnival ship to ever be named in the city of Galveston.  This is fitting as Christine Duffy has proclaimed that plans on calling Galveston home indefinitely.  Currently, Jubilee  offers 6-9 day Western Caribbean itineraries.

If you are thinking of sailing out of Galveston anytime soon, reach out to a Marvelous Mouse Travels agent to learn more about this ship.  It is perfect for families, adults and anyone in between.
