Have you ever gone somewhere completely unprepared? Well, let’s make sure that you don’t have that moment when traveling to Disney World! To some this may seem like a silly post but to others hopefully this helps!
How should you pack/prepare for the parks? I am going to start with the obvious: all the walking. It may be a surprise to some but others are well aware that the parks at Disney are large and there is a lot of walking! So what can you do to be ready? Find a comfortable pair of shoes! Break them in before you go! But another way to prepare for all this walking is to start walking before you go to get used to it if you already aren’t. It will help a lot and you may be very thankful! But the right shoes will be a game changer. If you have very comfortable footwear, you will be a happy camper. With that being said, also pack bandaids in case your shoes are not as comfortable as you thought.
Next you’re going to want to pack for the weather but be prepared for that to change. The best thing you can do is to check the weather for the weeks leading up to your time of travel to see the average highs and lows. This will allow for you to make sure you are packing the best you can. But never forget it is the state of Florida and the weather can change quickly. And it rains a decent amount. It won’t ruin your trip by any means because it usually doesn’t last for a long period of time, but always having rain ponchos in your luggage will be a huge benefit.
Lastly, another small tip which has been touched on before is to have a portable charging source with you. Everyone will want to capture pictures but also using the My Disney Experience app may drain your battery more quickly than you are used to back home. There are plenty of other tips that can help make your trip less stressful and very enjoyable but here are just a few to help you!
