After doing away with the Tower of Terror 10 miler race, Disney's Wine and Dine 1/2 Marathon at Walt Disney World Resort was the only night race remaining. Rumors have been going around for days and they have been confirmed...HUGE changes to this race weekend are happening!
The first BIG news...the Wine and Dine 1/2 Marathon is no longer a night race! It will now join every other Disney race with a morning start, moving from Saturday at 10pm to Sunday morning, November 6 at 5:30am.
Second, Mickey's Holiday 5k(formerly the Jingle Jungle 5k) is moving to Friday morning, November 4, from it's previous Saturday morning race time. So what is happening Saturday?
I bring you the 3rd big change, the addition of a 10k! Over the past few years, Disney has added a 10k race to every race weekend, with the exception of the Wine and Dine race weekend, simply because the short weekend didn't allow it. Moving the original two races has allowed runDisney to add the very friendly 10k distance on Saturday morning, November 5. In true Disney fashion, they have created a challenge, pairing the 10k and 1/2 marathon together, for Lumiere's Two Course Challenge.
There is also some change to the post race party. In previous years, the post race party at Epcot immediately followed the 1/2 marathon on Saturday night. With the race moving to Sunday morning, the post race party will be moving to Sunday night, with an earlier start and end time, open from 8pm to 1am. If you are a runner, your race entry will still give you free admission to the post race party, otherwise it will be a special ticketed event.
Registration for this race weekend has been pushed back to March 29, 2016 at noon EST, because of the changes.

Kids' 1 mile run- $30
Mickey's Holiday 5k- $70
Disney's Wine and Dine 10k- $120
Disney's Wine and Dine 1/2 Marathon(which includes post race party entry)- $190

Post Race Party Tickets- $79
The expo will open Thursday, November 3, 2016 and the race weekend will conclude on Sunday, November 6.
