Atlantic: an Epic Universe Full-Service Restaurant

Let’s talk about one of Epic Universe’s table service restaurants. As a Universal Orlando Resort travel planner I was able to get a seek peak dining experience at Atlantic. This full-service restaurant is located in the heart of Celestial Park offering a "surf and turf" menu where elegance meets oceanic fantasy and is scheduled to open on the park's opening day May 22, 2025.

Walking into Atlantic feels like stepping into a storybook - one filled with brass sea creatures, glowing jellyfish-like lanterns, and windows that overlook gardens and dancing fountains. The vibe? Think 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea meets fine dining. From the moment you pass through the arched doorway, you’re surrounded by the illusion of being underwater—without a drop of seawater in sight.

Atlantic’s menu is “refined surf and turf with a twist.” With bold flavors and artful presentation, your plate is as beautiful as it is delicious. Highlights from the opening menu include:

• Miso-Glazed Sea Bass – Lightly caramelized and nestled in a lemongrass broth, this dish balances sweetness and citrus with buttery fish.
• Fire-Roasted Romanesco – Served over toasted fregola pasta and dressed in hazelnut romesco, it’s a hearty, vegetarian-friendly option with rich, earthy depth.
• Grilled Ribeye with Kelp Butter – A nod to both land and sea, this dish combines tender beef with a briny, umami-forward kelp-infused finish.
• Coral Garden Salad – Fresh herbs, seaweed pearls, and edible flowers elevate this starter from ordinary to extraordinary.

And the desserts - One fan favorite is the “Snickerdoodle Loot”, served in a mini beach bucket and garnished with cookie sand and gummy sea creatures. It’s equal parts nostalgia and indulgence.

Tucked away on the second floor is Aquaria Bar, a sleek lounge space perfect for pre-dinner cocktails or a nightcap. Signature drinks come with smoke, shimmer, and color-shifting infusions. Guests can sip and unwind with panoramic views of Celestial Park and its lagoon.

Atlantic is a perfect blending of story and sustenance. Every detail, from the shell-embossed dinnerware to the sound of waves through the speakers, contributes to the illusion that you're dining below the surface of the sea.
