Recently we talked about Coronado Springs being more than a moderate with the amenities available. But have you ever thought about Art of Animation being a value plus option? When the resort opened in May 2012 it was originally just family suites which made it the only value resort with this option for larger families. Later that year, September 2012 the remainder of the resort opened. This portion was all the standard rooms that are Little Mermaid themed. The suites are themed after Finding Nemo, Cars and The Lion King. The life sized characters really make you feel like you’re part of the movies!
Not only does the resort offer accommodations for larger families which is a great option with a more affordable price tag, but another added perk is how the Resort appeals to those of all ages! The colors from the character development wall all the way through the Landscape of Flavors food court to the Pixel Play Arcade boast such vibrancy that brings a smile to everyone!
Once you walk outside you are greeted by the cast of Finding Nemo and the feature pool, the Big Blue Pool! Yes if you go underwater you can hear Nemo and friends chatting and singing! Another unique feature of the Art of Animation resort is that the suite buildings have interior hallways. Many find that this is a nice safety feature for children.
There are 3 large pools, a quick service location and a pool bar with cocktails and snacks. RunDisney is a large entity of Disney and many resorts have signs that indicate running trails. Art of Animation and Pop Century form a large circle around Glimmer-glass Lake that makes for a great running trail.
But one of the main amenities that really makes this resort something special is the Skyliner! Walt Disney World has recently added another form of transportation that glides above the resorts through the sky. This connects Art of Animation and Pop Century to the Caribbean Beach Resort, the Riviera Resort, Epcot and Hollywood Studios! This resort does also offer bus transportation. So if you’re looking for a fun resort with larger rooms consider Art of Animation for your next trip!
