I know we have mentioned time and time again of the brand new destination of Disney Cruise Line, Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point. This exclusive destination is located on the island of Eleuthera in the Bahamas and every aspect of the island puts the priority of the island's beauty to keep it as preserved and natural as possible. Another priority of Disney Cruise Line was to keep as much of culture immersion as possible. The art throughout the island was locally designed which includes sculptures and paintings.
The sculpture that welcomes you to the island was created by Antonius Roberts, an acclaimed Bahamian artist. This magnificent piece was made with a fallen tree from the island. The gorgeous doors on the entrances of the buildings feature carvings that were inspired by designs from original work by Andret John. Over at the Goombay Cultural Center, guests can see works of art by Kevin Cooper. Cooper paints Eleuthera landscapes.
Buildings throughout the islands also have pieces of art from local artists. The colorful designs featured on some of the buildings are by painter Dorman Stubbs. The pavilions that hold the dining areas feature land and sea inspiration up high by Kishan Munroe.
