One way to celebrate many of the movies all at once is the Universal Mega Movie Parade which will run through November 13, 2025. Films like Jurassic Park, Ghost Busters, Back to the Future, Trolls, and the classic, Jaws. This music filled parade fills the streets of Hollywood inside Universal Studios Florida.
The parks offer not one, but two stunning shows! One at Universal Studios Florida and the other at Universal Islands of Adventure. Universal Studios Florida offers Cinesational: A Symphonic Spectacular which is filled with classic songs, lights, and favorite movie moments. A quick train ride away, Hogwarts Always projects onto Hogwarts castle while celebrations of the school year projects and music plays. Guests will see parts of the Quidditch match along with the House Cup celebration. Both of these special events only currently run through August 24, 2024. Which is right around the same time that Universal Halloween Horror Nights begins!
So many Universal films are coming to theaters this summer! Did you know that there is a Cinemark Cinemas right in Universal CityWalk? June 13 brings How to Train Your Dragon, June 27 brings M3GAN 2.0, and July 2 brings Jurassic World: Rebirth. Other popular films are returning to Cinemark at Universal CityWalk for the Summer Movie Series. Six films will rotate through the series from beginning May 17 through July 30th. Each film plays for two scheduled days before the next film returns. Fan favorites include “Trolls,” “Kung Fu Panda,” “E.T. The Extra-Terrestial," "The Mummy,""The Fast and the Furious," and "Shrek " which also happen to be the movies coming for the series this year.
Summer 2025 also brings the celebration of 15 years of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Orlando Resort. It all started with the books, then the films, and then The Wizarding World of Harry Potter - Hogsmeade at Universal Islands of Adventure which opened on June 18, 2010. Since the opening, Hagrid’s Magic Creatures Motorbike Adventure opened nearly nine years later, and now the newest addition is the Second Generation Interactive Wand with new haptic and light features!
A few films are being celebrated for their anniversary this year, “Jaws” and “Back to the Future.” The classics are celebrating huge milestones, and both are household names. “Jaws” celebrates 50 years and the San Francisco area of the park will receive a quick overlay of Amity. Exclusive food, beverages, and merchandise will be available for purchase. “Back to the Future” is celebrating 40 years! While our hoverboards look a tad different than they thought they would, the film lives on with the limited time merchandise.
