Don’t have spring break plans yet? Here are some unique family spring break trip ideas:
Many people flock to the Sunshine State, but consider heading to the West Coast instead. While Disneyland in Anaheim, California can be included of course, consider spending time in San Diego and/or Los Angeles too. In San Diego, you can check out the famous San Diego Zoo, observe Sea Lions in La Jolla, and tour the USS Midway, a former U.S. Navy Aircraft Carrier. In Los Angeles, you can visit the Griffith Observatory and Planetarium, Famous Beverly Hills and Rodeo Drive, Hollywood Sign, La Brea Tar Pits (a group of the tar pits where the bones of trapped prehistoric animals have been preserved).
A town in Southern Missouri, that offers family entertainment! Along the strip are the Marvel Cave, the Wild West-style Dolly Parton’s Dixie Stampede Dinner Attraction and Silver Dollar City, an 1800s-themed amusement park with live music. Embrace the snow accumulation from winter and take advantage of the best skiing in the country. Alta, Utah or Beaver Creek, Colorado are popular resort areas. After a full day of outdoor fun, take a break by a cozy fire and some hot cocoa to warm up.
Stay in the heart of the “city that never sleeps” and take in some Broadway shows, visit the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and the Statue of Liberty. Take a carriage ride through Central Park or shop on 5th Avenue.
