When you hear Moon Palace The Grand Punta Cana, you may immediately think of a family-friendly all-inclusive resort. And you wouldn’t be wrong! This brand-new Palace Resorts property has plenty for families to enjoy, but one thing that really surprised me during my recent stay was just how much there is for adults, too.
Whether you are planning an adults-only getaway, traveling with a group of friends, celebrating a special occasion, or simply want some kid-free time during your family vacation, Moon Palace The Grand Punta Cana has several spaces specifically designed for guests 18 and older.
I recently had the opportunity to experience the resort for myself, and some of my favorite moments happened in these 18+ spaces. Even better, this is just the beginning. Several experiences are already open, with even more expected to debut later in 2026.
Here is what you can enjoy right now and what you have to look forward to at Moon Palace The Grand Punta Cana.
If your idea of vacation involves a pool, a cocktail and a DJ, you are going to want to spend some time at Unique Day Club.
Unique Day Club is open daily from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM and features a swim-up bar, plenty of space to relax and a DJ during select times. Earlier in the day, you can simply hang out by the pool, grab a drink and enjoy some kid-free time.
But as the afternoon gets going, the energy can definitely pick up!
While I was there, dancers came out and performed around the pool, champagne bottles made an appearance, shots were passed around and fog spray added to the party atmosphere.
It was very much a grown-up pool party vibe!
You can absolutely get in on the action, but you don't have to. If dancing around the pool and taking shots isn't your vacation style, grab a drink, find a spot to relax and enjoy some good old-fashioned people-watching!
If DJs, dancing and champagne bottles popping aren't exactly your vacation vibe, don't worry. The Serenity Pool may be much more your speed.
It lives up to its name. This space is all about slowing down and relaxing. With plenty of loungers and a swim-up bar, it's the perfect place to grab a drink, find a comfortable spot and enjoy some peaceful pool time away from the action at Unique Day Club.
I love that Moon Palace The Grand Punta Cana gives you both options. You can spend one afternoon right in the middle of the party and the next doing absolutely nothing at the Serenity Pool. Or skip the party altogether!
Sometimes a quiet pool, a lounger and a cocktail are exactly what you need.
When the sun goes down, the fun doesn't have to end.
Unique Night Club is the resort's late-night spot for dancing, drinks and a true nightclub atmosphere. It is currently open on select nights from 10:30 PM until 3:00 AM, making it perfect for anyone who isn't ready to call it a night after dinner.
We were greeted with shots when we arrived, which should probably tell you everything you need to know about the vibe!
Inside, there is a DJ, dance floor, fog effects and a full bar where you can order drinks. And because you're at an all-inclusive resort, those drinks are included.
One thing I really liked about Unique Night Club is that you don't have to be someone who wants to spend three hours on a dance floor to have fun. There are comfy couches surrounding the dance floor, so you can sit back with a drink, enjoy the music and do a little people-watching. Or get out there and dance until 3:00 AM. Your vacation, your choice!
Grown-up time doesn't always have to mean cocktails and dancing. Sometimes it means putting on a robe, turning off your brain for a while and doing absolutely nothing.
If that sounds more your speed, make time for O Spa.
The spa and hydrotherapy circuit are open from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. When you book a spa service, an hour in the hydrotherapy circuit is included and can be enjoyed either before or after your treatment. Make sure you ask about it if it isn't offered to you because you do not want to miss this experience!
The hydrotherapy circuit includes a sauna, steam room, ice room, specialty showers, heated loungers, a pool, hot tub and an ice bath. A spa technician guides you through the circuit and explains what to do at each stop, so you aren't just wandering around wondering where you're supposed to go next.
I tried everything.
Well, almost everything for the recommended amount of time.
I couldn't quite make it the full 10 minutes in either the sauna or steam room. After living in Phoenix, I think they reminded me a little too much of home!
The ice bath, on the other hand, was incredible. I won't pretend it wasn't freezing because it absolutely was, especially when you go from the hot tub into the ice-cold water. But once I did it, I understood the hype. It was so invigorating and ended up being one of my favorite parts of the experience.
Give it a try. You may question your decision for a few seconds, but it's worth it!
As much as I enjoyed what was already available during my stay, I'm really excited about what's still to come. Moon Palace The Grand Punta Cana is continuing to roll out new bars, entertainment and dining experiences specifically for its 18+ guests.
The resort's new casino is anticipated to open toward the end of December 2026, adding another option for nighttime entertainment.
But it's what will be tucked inside the casino that I am especially excited about.
A Speakeasy Bar is planned with a Roaring '20s theme designed to transport you back to old New York. Think jazz music, curated cocktails and that classic speakeasy atmosphere. The planned hours are daily from 6:00 PM to 1:00 AM.
This may be one of the first places I visit the next time I'm at the resort!
Another anticipated late-2026 opening is Waitiki, a Polynesian-inspired tiki bar.
Waitiki is expected to celebrate Polynesian culture through cocktails, music and atmosphere. Planned hours are daily from 6:00 PM to 1:00 AM, giving you another place to grab a drink and enjoy the evening without necessarily heading to a full nightclub.
Between the Speakeasy and Waitiki, I love that there will be completely different nightlife options depending on your mood.
If you're the person who hears karaoke and immediately starts deciding which song you're going to sing, Kassette needs to be on your list.
Kassette is another 18+ venue anticipated to open in late 2026 and is expected to operate Tuesday through Sunday from 6:00 PM to 1:00 AM.
There will also be a VIP experience available for guests who really don't want to give up the microphone. The VIP option will include private service, comfortable seating and the chance to enjoy the spotlight without having to share it with the entire room.
Reservations will be required for the VIP experience, and this portion will come at an additional cost rather than being included with your regular all-inclusive stay.
Of course, we can't talk about experiences for grown-ups without talking about food.
JC Prime Room 84 is a classic American steakhouse for guests 18 and older that is anticipated to open in late 2026. It will offer a more elevated dinner option when you want a date night or special evening away from the resort's family-focused restaurants.
The restaurant is expected to be open nightly from 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM. Reservations are recommended, and the dress code will be smart casual.
I think this will be such a great addition for couples visiting the resort, but also for parents who want to enjoy one kid-free dinner during a family vacation.
One of my biggest takeaways from visiting Moon Palace The Grand Punta Cana is that you shouldn't automatically write it off if you are traveling without kids.
Yes, this resort does families incredibly well, but it doesn't feel like the grown-ups were an afterthought.
You can spend your afternoon at a pool party, escape to the Serenity Pool when you want something quieter, head to the spa for a hydrotherapy circuit, have dinner, dance until 3:00 AM and eventually add experiences like a speakeasy, tiki bar, karaoke and steakhouse to your vacation.
There really isn't just one way to experience it.
A resort like Moon Palace The Grand Punta Cana is exactly why I believe you should book your vacation with a travel agent.
There is a LOT happening here, especially because this is a brand-new resort that is still opening new restaurants, bars, entertainment venues and experiences. Information can change between the day you start planning and the day you arrive.
Working with a travel agent means you have someone helping you navigate those details instead of trying to piece everything together yourself.
When you book with Marvelous Mouse Travels, you aren't simply getting someone to make a reservation. Travel agents help take the guesswork out of planning by helping you find the right resort and room for your vacation, understand what is included, navigate the details and prepare for your trip.
So whether you're planning a romantic getaway, friends' trip, adults-only escape or a family vacation where the grown-ups still want some time for themselves, we would love to help you plan your stay at Moon Palace The Grand Punta Cana.
Because the kids definitely don't get to have all the fun here.
