Hip, hip, hooray! There is more time to stay and play! Walt Disney World recently announced additional Disney After Hours to select parks, and added a new park to enjoy the event in! How exciting is that? Currently Walt Disney World offers Disney After Hours at Disney’s Magic Kingdom and Disney’s Hollywood Studios on select nights. Disney After Hours is a special ticketed event that happens after regular park hours, and allows extra time in the park, after closing. Tickets to these events are limited, be sure to reach out to your Marvelous Mouse Travels agent before you next vacation to Walt Disney World to take advantage of this amazing event!
There are so many benefits to this special ticketed event. First you have less crowds, that means you can go to the rides a bit quicker with less of a wait time. You also get select snacks and drinks, included in your Disney After Hours ticket. Usually included, but always subject to change are popcorn, select beverages, and ice-cream bars. Once the park has closed to the general public, and the event has started, you can just walk up to participating snack carts and ask for those select items, then be on your way!
The first park I would like to chat about is Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon. Many people are unaware that Walt Disney World has not one, but two water parks on property. Many families hit the four major theme parks making Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon an almost hidden gem. Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon is a fantastic way to spend a day relaxing by the water or even seeking some thrills on the water attractions! But during Disney’s After Hours, H2O Glow, you will gain entry into the park at 6 p.m. and have access to the park with limited crowds, and less intense sun! During the event there are special treats offered throughout the park and everything is GLOWING! Yes, a black light glow event in the water park! Don’t forget to check out the DJ for an epic dance party! This event is set to begin May 20, 2023.
Next up, Disney’s Hollywood Studios! You will want to hit the ground running during this Disney’s After Hours event! There are so many attractions that will have minimum wait lines, that could do them all multiple times! Swirl and twirl with the aliens, cruise with the crew, or battle your way through space, the options are endless! The event is currently running and available for ticket purchase, however, they are adding more dates starting May 3, 2023!
Disney’s Magic Kingdom is also currently offering Disney’s After Hours event on select nights.
The last, and final addition to the Disney’s After Hours special ticket event is EPCOT! These events will begin on June 1, 2023 on select nights. I think this is one park I would definitely want to attend this event at! Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind will be open for guests during the event time! This attraction itself is worth the ticket, but then you add Frozen Ever After, and Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure to the list and you’ve got yourself the best trio of attractions!

Tickets for these special events can be purchased starting March 3, 2023 for general guests, and February 28, 2023 (EPCOT and Typhoon Lagoon) for guests staying at select Walt Disney World Resorts.
