Last December, I finally had the chance to check a dream resort off my Disney bucket list, Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, and this time I experienced it Club Level style. Having stayed Club Level before at Disney’s BoardWalk Inn, one of my absolute favorites, I was so excited to see what made the Grand Floridian’s Royal Palm Club so special. Spoiler: it was every bit as magical and elegant as I imagined.
From the moment we arrived, the experience felt extra special. A friendly Cast Member greeted us in the lobby and personally escorted us up to the Club Level floor. When the elevator doors opened, we were welcomed into the Royal Palm Club Lounge with a refreshing welcome drink and warm smiles from the concierge team. They gave us a tour of the lounge, explained the amenities available to us, and made sure we knew about the food and beverage offerings throughout the day. It set the tone for an amazing stay, relaxed, personalized, and full of Disney charm.
The Club Level at the Grand Floridian is located in the Main Building, with rooms on the third, fourth, and fifth floors. The Royal Palm Club Lounge, found on the fifth floor, offers sweeping views of the resort and Seven Seas Lagoon. One of my favorite features was the two outdoor upper-level patios, one overlooking the resort grounds and Seven Seas Lagoon and another where you can watch the monorail glide by.
Each morning, I found myself drawn to a cozy window seat in the lounge overlooking Seven Seas Lagoon. Enjoying a delicious breakfast with a fresh mimosa and a steaming cup of coffee as the sun slowly rose over the water was pure magic. The soft morning light filled the room, the faint sound of the lobby piano drifted up from below, and for a moment, it felt like time stood still. It was the most peaceful and enchanting start to the day before heading off to the parks.

Since my stay was in December, the entire resort was glowing with holiday charm. The iconic gingerbread house filled the lobby with the scent of ginger and spice, and the sound of live music floated up into the lounge. Watching the twinkling lights from above made the experience feel even more magical, like being inside a Christmas dream.
Staying Club Level at the Grand Floridian truly felt like a dream come true. While the BoardWalk Inn Club Level will always hold a special place in my heart, the Grand Floridian’s Royal Palm Club offered a sense of calm, beauty, and sophistication that’s hard to top.
One of my favorite little luxuries was being able to grab a mimosa or cocktail from the lounge and head back to my room to unwind on the balcony. There’s something so peaceful about kicking back with your feet up, sipping your drink, and taking in the view of the lagoon and resort below. It was the perfect way to slow down, soak in the moment, and truly appreciate the magic of staying at Disney’s flagship resort.
