The Hawaiian island of Oʻahu is known for its diverse attractions — from iconic beaches and landmarks like Diamond Head, to historic sites such as Pearl Harbor, and world-class surf on the North Shore. But nestled on the island’s beautiful Windward coast lies one of its most captivating gems: Kualoa Ranch.

Arriving at this 4,000-acre private nature reserve is breathtaking — not only the scenery but the idea you are standing in a place rooted in history. Once a sacred training ground for Hawaiian royalty, Kualoa remains committed to preserving its cultural legacy. Today, visitors can experience a powerful connection to the land through guided tours that blend education, adventure, and awe-inspiring scenery.

If the dramatic cliffs and valleys of Kualoa Ranch feel familiar, it’s because they’ve starred in countless blockbuster films and TV shows — including Jurassic Park, Kong: Skull Island, and LOST. But beyond the screen, Kualoa is a working cattle ranch and farm. Don’t miss the chance to stop by the on-site café, where you can enjoy locally sourced treats. We sampled everything from ʻulu chips and cupcakes to delicious chocolate grown right on the property.

Kualoa Ranch is a must-visit for travelers of all ages and interests and offers a wide variety of tours and experiences that your travel advisor can help you plan. . Whether you're craving adrenaline or a peaceful connection to nature, there’s something for you.
The UTV Raptor is an open-air off-road vehicle that seats 2–6 people — perfect for families or groups who want to ride together and share the excitement. You must be at least 21 to drive, but there are opportunities to switch drivers throughout the tour.

We opted for the 2-hour UTV tour, and I can’t recommend it enough. The route takes you through Kaaʻawa, Kualoa, and Hakipuʻu Valleys, with dusty trails, stream crossings, and views that are simply unforgettable. Every turn felt like a postcard. Our stops included hearing about the Hawaiian history of the valley, a photo op stop where they filmed Jurassic World (including dinosaurs!), and an area where we heard stories about Mokoli’i Island also known as Chinaman’s Hat. Incredible Tour Guides
The guides at Kualoa Ranch are exceptional. Ours seamlessly wove together geology, Hawaiian legends, behind-the-scenes film trivia, and photo stops — even offering to snap pictures for every group. Their enthusiasm and knowledge made the tour that much more memorable.

Kualoa Ranch is more than a stop on your itinerary — it’s a journey through Hawaiʻi’s rich history, breathtaking beauty, and cinematic wonder. Whether you're visiting for the thrill, the culture, or the views, a day here stays with you long after the dust has settled.
