2025 Lunar New Year at Disneyland

As we have now made it half way through January, Disneyland Resort is ready to kick off a new festival! The 2025 Lunar New Year, also the Year of the Snake, begins on January 17, 2025 and continues through February 16, 2025. The festival contains food and beverage options, merchandise, and entertainment options each day. Let’s explore what you can expect during your visit to Disneyland Resort for the 2025 Lunar New Year!

So many favorites will return to the festival this year, including the Sip and Savor Pass. This pass is wearable, scan-able, and offers a 6 prepaid digital coupon. These digital coupons can be redeemed for select food and non-alcoholic beverages at the different Lunar New Year Marketplace locations plus a variety of dining locations throughout Disney California Adventure Park. New for this year, the Sip and Savor Pass will come in three different designs, each featuring Disney characters celebrating with Chinese, Vietnamese, or Korean cultural designs. There are three locations to purchase the special edition pass. Also returning is the Disney Gift Card with the festival theme. These mini gift cards feature a wrist lanyard to easy access and can be reloaded with funds.

The first Lunar New Year Marketplace to explore is Bamboo Blessings. Here there will be five menu times. The first two menu times are Mini Char Siu Pork Shanks which are served with rice and a pineapple chutney then the Strawberry Milk Tea Macaron which is made with a milk tea center and strawberry buttercream and a returning favorite. The last three items are beverage options. A Brown Sugar Milk Tea that is made with Joffery’s Coffee & Tea Co Ceylon Tea. The next is Dragon Fruit Cocktail. The final menu item is not something to taste but it’s an adorable Lunar New Year Mickey Shaped Light-Up Straw Clip that is new for this year!

The second Marketplace is Longevity Noodle Co. and definitely a location you would find me! With the choices of Garlic Noodles and Shrimp Lo Mein Noodles you simply cannot go wrong! The Garlic Noodles are made with a zesty garlic butter sauce and topped with Parmesan cheese! The Shrimp Lo Mein Noodles are also blended with stir-fried vegetables.

For beverage options, a Tropical Coconut Cooler is a non-alcoholic beverage that has a coconut cream base along with coconut milk then combined with dragon fruit syrup, lychee nectar, jackfruit syrup that is made in house, and cherry juices. It is then topped with a foam made of mango and coconut flavors and a dash of rainbow jellies. The second beverage is a Mandarin Citrus Mule that is made with a mandarin vodka and grapefruit liqueur as the base then lime juice and a blend of mandarin and apricot purees. It is finished with ginger beer and candied orange syrup with orange rock candy.

Continuing through to Lucky 8 Lantern, the delicious Quesabirria Eggroll graces the menu along with a new Chocolate Firecracker. This delicious dessert is made with a chocolate mousse base and a chocolate ganache filling. It is decorated with a red exterior and popping candy! The beverages offered both contain alcohol; a Guava Lemongrass Cocktail and a Year of The Snake Margarita.

The return of the bao buns can be found at Prosperity Bao & Buns! The Kung Pao Bun features a plant based chicken along with toasted peanuts and a sprinkle of scallions. The Red Panda Bao features the red outside with a pork and vegetable bao inside.

One location that has an entire new menu for The Year of the Snake is Red Dragon Spice Traders. Starting with a set of Fire Chicken Wings that are topped with a sesame-seaweed crunch (also available at Smokejumpers Grill) and finishing off with Spicy Gochujang Chicken Tacos and a serving of yuja citrus cabbage slaw is the perfect stop for a snack during the day.

Returning to Wrapped with Love is the Fried Lemongrass Chicken Dumplings that also has a plum sauce. A Pho Dip and Mandarin Orange Cream Puff join the lineup for 2025. The sandwich is made of a combination of rice noodles, beef, and thinly shaved jalapenos and pickled onions plus served with a side of Pho broth for dipping.

Snake Sourdough Bread can be found at two locations throughout Disney California Adventure Park. Aunt Cass Cafe and Boudin Bread Cat. The bread is limited per day, so be sure to stop by early to grab your slithery treat. Aunt Cass Cafe will also be offering an Almond Cookie Bread Pudding that is made with a mandarin orange creme anglaise that is topped with a whipped topping and toasted almonds.

A favorite location to visit for me is Pym Test Kitchen! A Legend of the Ten Spices Flatbread is added to the menu through February 16, 2025. A sesame spread is paired with kung pao beef, toasted bok choy, and some napa cabbage.

For some sweet treat options, the churros are the way to go! A Vietnamese Coffee Churro can be found near Goofy’s Sky School and at Senor Buzz Churros. This churro has a coffee sugar and then a bold coffee icing and sweetened condensed milk drizzle.

An almost savory option is Toasted Sesame and Red Bean Churro. The churro is rolled in a toasted sesame sugar then topped with a whipped red bean with a sesame tuile.

There are some amazing options that will be in the park and even the resorts to celebrate the 2025 Lunar New Year and The Year of the Snake. If you’re ready to make the quick trip to Disneyland Resort, be sure to reach out Marvelous Mouse Travels today!
