This fun-filled event happens each year for only a few days, and it is scheduled to the brim with activities for the kids of all ages! I mentioned that it only happens for a few days, which is only three days in August. The special event runs from August 8 through August 10, 2025.
Starting at Disney California Adventure Park, day one includes a “Disney Jr. Let’s Play! Block Party” (parade) which is high energy and filled with favorite Disney Jr. hits that features Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, and more beloved friends. The Hollywood Backlot Stage also hosts a “Disney Jr. Let’s Play! Live” show.
A special photo opt with a special character themed wall that includes “SuperKitties,” “Bluey,” “Iron Man and His Awesome Friends,” and more can also be found in Hollywood Land. If you are looking to meet characters, there will be select Disney Jr. characters greeting throughout the day.
There are two exclusive special events that happen during this time and those are “Confection Purrfection with the SuperKitties” and “Learn to Draw Disney Jr. Characters.” The cupcake decorating show is interactive and actually has guests decorating cupcakes while the “SuperKitties” show how food can bring everyone together. The drawing event is held at Animation Academy.
While all of the activities at Disney California Adventure Park do require a valid theme park admission and Park Reservation, the events being held at Downtown Disney District do not! Day two and three (August 9 & 10) brings photo opportunities, themed merchandise at World of Disney, and the Let’s Play! Bubbles Experience that will be located at the new Downtown Disney LIVE! Stage and Lawn.
