As guests have already been welcomed and visiting the 2024 EPCOT International Festival of the Arts, we have been seeing photos of the amazing food, art work, and fun that has transpired in the park. The next big festival that will hit the parks is the 2024 EPCOT International Flower and Garden Festival, and there has been some fun news that has been announced!
This year the EPCOT International Flower and Garden Festival will kick off on February 28, 2024 just a week and a half after the 2024 EPCOT International Festival of the Arts wraps up for the season. The EPCOT International Flower and Garden festival will run for a full 90 days this year, closing down the fun on May 27, 2024.
Each year the festival is full of the famous topiaries around the park, food from around the world, and even musical performances by artists known around the world at the Garden Rocks concert series.
Disney Destinations has announced that there will be more than 70 topiaries featured throughout the park this year, with thanks given to the Disney horticulture cast members.
It has been announced that a new, and galaxy inspired topiary will debut near Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind. The fun loving Groot will be crafted into a topiary and will be holding a cassette tape above his head. This year the main entrance will feature topiary designs from the new film “Wish” where guests can see Asha, Valentino, and the Wishing Star. Don’t forget to pose for a photo! Another new topiary that guests can look forward to this year is Miguel and Dante from the film “Coco” inside the Mexico Pavilion.
Each year guests line up to see the evening's event from the Garden Rocks concert series, which always has an amazing line up! For 2024, there will be some new groups that Disney Destination listed as “Modern English, Crowder, Lit, Monsieur Perine, and Fonseca.” Along with the Garden Rocks concert series, there will also be an option for the Garden Rocks Dining Package which will become available for booking on February 6, 2024. The dining experiences that will offer the package will be Akershus Royal Banquet Hall, Biergarten Restaurant, Coral Reef Restaurant, Garden Grill Restaurant, Rose & Crown Dining Room , and Le Cellier Steakhouse. The Regal Eagle Smokehouse: Craft Brew & Barbeque will also offer the dining package, but it will only be available as a same-day, in-person walk-up only package.
A fun experience that is offered in a different variety throughout the year is the park scavenger hunt. The 2024 EPCOT International Flower and Garden Festival brings Spike the Bee for Spike’s Pollination Exploration. Search high and low through the gardens throughout the festival on a search for Spike after purchasing the scavenger hunt map at select locations. After completing the activity, competition is not required, you can return to the selected location for a prize! During the same time this year, guests will also have the choice to complete the Egg-stravaganza Hunt. This hunt is for character inspired eggs throughout the pavilions.
Returning this year is the Butterfly Landing Presented by AdventHealth. Guests can walk into the butterfly house and see them up close, or even land on them. Learn about the lifecycle of butterflies and how they pollinate in this experience.
