Now that we are officially into August, and the next time you blink it will be October, Universal Studios has officially announced all ten 2023 Halloween Horror Nights houses at Universal Orlando Resort, and five of the eight have been announced for Universal Hollywood. This year the line up is like nothing else, and the houses are terrifying! Both Universal Orlando Resorts and Universal Studios Hollywood offer a few of the same house themes. But this still means that no matter which coast you join, you will not miss out on the fun!

First up on the line-up is a house named Stranger Things 4. This house is designed after the latest season of Stranger Things, where Vecna is spreading a curse that you need to escape. Come along as Eleven and her friends help try to destroy Vecna and the evil that he portrays!
The next house is The Exorcist: Believer. The film that this house is based off of has not been released to theaters yet. Coming to theaters on October 13, 2023, this horror flick is about two girls that went missing, but when found they have no memory of the incident or of the evil that has come back with them. This new film is a Blumhouse Film, which also had two Halloween Horror Nights houses featured in 2022.

The house that I am looking forward to the most is Chucky: Ultimate Kill Count. Child’s Play was always one of my favorite horror films, and when this house was released I just knew I needed to attend! The description of this house is that Chucky, the serial killer doll, has taken over his own haunted house and is up to his old tricks. Be on the lookout for the Good Guy doll and his gory ways.
Last year the Universal Monsters:Legends Collide house , where The Wolf Man, The Mummy, and Dracula battled it out until the last one standing. This year guests will meet Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, the Phantom of the Opera, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, and the Invisible Man will come together for a horrifying house called Universal Monsters: Unmasked. Who are you most afraid of in this clan of monsters?

A house that everyone seems to be looking forward to, The Last of Us, is based on a video game from Sony Playstation. The goal is to be silent as you try to escape and survive “Clickers” through a post-apocalyptic country. I will definitely lose at trying to stay silent. Do you think you could?
Dr. Oddfellow’s Twisted Origins is a house I will probably skip on, I do not do clowns, and this just seems terrifying. I applaud those that chose to willingly go into this house. The catch phrase, “Your Soul is a Price He’s Willing to Pay.” Clowns just seem up to no good, and this one is no different. This house is only at Universal Orlando Resort.
Dueling Dragons: Choose Thy Fate is about how two people, warlocks per say, were turned into dragons after attempting to steal a spell book, and are not battling it out with you caught in the middle. Which side do you choose to win?
For my nature-loving friends, this house is for you, Yeti: Campground Kills. This house takes you back to the 1950’s where a Yeti has overturned a campground and all of the campers that get in his way. Will you escape alive or battle with the Yeti? This Halloween Horror Night house is located only at Universal Orlando.
Bloodmoon: Dark Offerings returns even further back to the colonial times where as described by Universal Resorts “Moon-worshippers witness a blood moon at their fall festival. They take it as a sign to hunt down any non-followers.” Well that just sounds like a great fall festival to join in on, don’t you think?
The last and final house, The Darkest Deal, is where a blues musician traded his soul for fame and now has to pay the price. Are you ready to find out the price he paid? This attraction can only be found at Universal Orlando Resort.
There are quite a few different ticket options available for both Universal Orlando and Universal Hollywood. Be sure to reach out and get the best option for your travel party to experience the most horrifying night!
