As most have heard by now, Disney’s Splash Mountain, at Walt Disney World has recently closed for a year-long (or more) refurbishment. Both the ride at Disneyland (which is still open) and at Walt Disney World will receive not only a face-lift, but a re-theming! A well deserving Princess is taking over the log flume ride, Princess Tiana! Tiana’s backstory, if you have not seen Disney’s Princess and a Frog, is that she grew up in New Orleans with a love of food. She had a dream to own her very own restaurant, and her father supported her dream 100%. As with almost every beloved Walt Disney movie, life sends her curveballs, and she takes them head on and comes out on top, marrying a Prince who also supports her dreams.
However, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure's newly announced storyline is the future of Tiana. This storyline is an original creation from Disney Imagineers, so never seen or heard before now. This includes the success of Tiana’s Palace, the restaurant that she dreamt of as a little girl, and was the conclusion of her movie.
What happens next you may ask. I will give you a little something to look forward to, but I will not spoil the entire ride. Be sure to book your 2024 trip to Walt Disney World or Disneyland with a Marvelous Mouse Travels agent to stay current with all information on this new ride!

The queue line of the attraction has been noted to start the adventure with showing what Tiana has been doing to continue to grow her love for food and her community. She has expanded her business adventures with an opportunity, Tiana’s Foods, which is an old salt mine transformed into a large cooperative, a garden type business that everyone helps to build, grow, and share.
As you continue your journey with Tiana and the entire gang, you see how Tiana is grateful for their friendship, in return she creates a huge celebration for them during non-other than Mardi Gras!
